Sen. Arlen Specter Hitting Up Obama for Administration Job is raising eyebrows

Sounds like we have another Blagojevich job for vote deal going on between the White House and out going Arlen Specter. I can’t wait until the Republicans take control of congress so that Obama’s dirty dealings can be investigated.

Outgoing Sen. Arlen Specter, D-Penn., is asking for a job from the White House, according to ABC News

Neither the White House nor Specter had any comment.

But talk of such a job is raising eyebrows among Specter’s Republican Senate colleagues. They’re taking a close look at his recent votes. For instance, Specter seemed not particularly impressed with Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan, whose nomination as Solicitor General Specter opposed last year. This week he announced support for her Supreme Court nomination.

UPDATED:MAY 28, White House scandal called ‘impeachable offense’ Offered Romanoff Job Too

If a Democratic member of Congress is to be believed, there’s someone in the Obama administration who has committed a crime and if the president knew about it, analysts say it could be grounds for impeachment.

The situation revolves around an oft-repeated statement by Rep. Sestak, D-Pa., that he had been offered a job by the Obama administration in exchange for a decision to drop out of a senatorial primary against longtime Obama supporter Sen. Arlen Specter. READ MORE AT SOURCE

White House Offered Romanoff Job Too

Allegations that the White House offered Joe Sestak a job in exchange for dropping out of the Pennsylvania Senate race echo an earlier report of a job offer to candidate Andrew Romanoff in Colorado.

On September 27, 2009 the Denver Post reported that the Obama administration offered Senate candidate Romanoff a position if he canceled plans to run for the Democratic nomination against incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet. READ MORE AT SOURCE

UPDATED: MAY 28
Internal report issued Friday released by White House.

This report really will not help Obama, the report shows that a crime was committed by White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.  Does anyone think that Emanuel would have did this without the OK from Obama or Obama knowing of it? Not a chance!  Sean Hannity was all over this tonight on Fox News so releasing the report on Friday didn’t work this time Obama.

White House Used Bill Clinton to Try to Get Sestak Out of Pennsylvania Race

The White House used former President Bill Clinton to offer an unpaid advisory position to Rep. Joe Sestak in hopes of persuading him to drop his Pennsylvania Senate primary challenge to President Barack Obama’s favored candidate, according to an internal report issued Friday.
the report said White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel enlisted Clinton’s help as a go-between with Sestak. Clinton agreed to raise the offer of a seat on a presidential advisory board or another executive board if Sestak dropped his bid, “which would avoid a divisive Senate primary,” the report said. W.H. Asked Bill Clinton to Approach Sestak on Job
The New York Times is reporting today that President Obama’s chief of staff asked former President Bill Clinton to be an intermediary to ask Pennsylvania Rep. Joe Sestak whether he would be willing to drop out of a Senate primary in exchange for a prominent, but unpaid, advisory position. READ MORE AT SOURCE

MORE FROM WASHINGTON TIMES

Neither the White House nor Mr. Sestak’s response satisfied Republican leaders.
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said the White House response is further proof the administration needs to “open itself” to an independent investigation.

“In the three months since Joe Sestak first made his allegation, the White House has denied, stonewalled and is now trying to downplay the claims with an unsubstantiated memo,” Mr. Steele said. “This memo frankly raises more questions: What was Bill Clinton authorized to offer? Did President Obama sign off on this conversation before it took place?”

Mr. Sestak, a former Navy admiral, made the assertion about a “high-ranking” job offer at least twice once to a local cable television interviewer Feb. 18 and again Sunday. He has steadfastly declined to say who approached him and which job was discussed. Mr. Sestak, however, has said he would cooperate in any investigation. READ MORE AT SOURCE

It will be interesting to watch how Obama and his crooks lie their way out of this crime. Well that is if Sestak will tell who it was that offer him the job to drop out of the race. We might not see this investigated until after the November elections and we have more republicans in congress.

Arlen Specter defeat is a blow to Barack Obama’s political power

The defeat of Sen. Arlen Specter, the longest serving senator in Pennsylvania history, marks the end of a political era.

It also proves that Washington politicians that lived by the rule of political expediency are finished, as far as American voters are concerned.

The Specter defeat also is a blow to Barack Obama’s political power. Specter strongly backed Obama’s $787 billion stimulus package and his massive healthcare overhaul.

Though Obama strongly backed Specter, and put his political muscle behind the turncoat Republican, along with the powerful political machine of Democratic Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell, Democratic voters sent a jarring message Tuesday night by picking maverick and conservative Joe Sestak as their nominee.
