Read some of the comments from both sides below.  Obama starts the round with his weak left hook and the Republicans counter with the right hand wicked jab knocking Obama down for the 10 count in this 15 (15 week) round fight to the Mid-term elections. Republicans win first round!

Here are some comments made on Friday about jobs.

President Barack Obama “This report is a sign that our economy is getting stronger by the day. … I want to emphasize that most of the jobs this month that we’re seeing in the statistics represent workers who have been hired to complete the 2010 census, so these are temporary jobs that are only going to last until the fall and that may be reflected in future jobs reports. But even if you put those temporary jobs aside, there’s no doubt that we saw another month of private-sector job growth.”

Economist Diana Furchtgott-Roth “This is a shocking jobs report, especially after the billions of dollars Congress has spent on different stimulus programs. … The job market clearly is not improving, and Congress needs to take a different tack, such as making the current tax rates permanent and cutting spending.”

Georgia Rep. Tom Price “The Obama administration seems to have plenty of jobs to offer to Democrat primary challengers. It’s too bad most of the 15 million unemployed Americans aren’t eligible. With the number of potential workers increasing every day, new job opportunities can’t come quickly enough. Unemployment has been well over 9% for an entire year now, and in April long-term unemployment reached its highest level in 60 years. Clearly, these problems are not going to be solved with handouts to political cronies or temporary Census jobs that will disappear again in a few months.” SOURCE

JOBS Biggest Problem Facing Our Economy

The Obama administration keeps spending bigtime while Americans are losing their homes. Bigger government they say we need! When in fact we need to cut taxes not create more taxes. The corporations are hoarding cash because they don’t know what will come their way when Obama is finished with his big spending spree. Obama you need to understand government jobs is not what America needs, we need private sector jobs. I don’t agree with The Huffington Post on many issues but on Jobs Huffington got it mostly right and I agree that education, training and infrastructure would help years down the road, but we need jobs today and less spending by the government. Cut Taxes, Not Raise Taxes!

At a time when the economy is stuck in a deep and unusual malaise corporations are hoarding cash, unemployment is stubbornly high, credit is tight, and most of us can’t figure out how to make ends meet each month we need a bold plan of action. Yet our policymakers are acting as if everything is okay and the economy requires a few minor adjustments. Instead of big thinkers running the show, we have fine tuners.

A failure of imagination, a lack of persistence and a deadly complacency is eviscerating our economy. And millions of Americans who are either out of work, struggling to keep their jobs or relying on their savings to make ends meet are paying the price. If nothing else, let’s start with jobs.SOURCE

Bernanke Says Economy Uncertain

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said the economic outlook is “unusually uncertain,” prompting investors to seek safety in the dollar.

The U.S. initial jobless claims rose to 445,000 last week from 429,000 in the prior period

The Bush Tax Cuts

President Obama and congressional Democrats are blaming their trillion-dollar budget deficits on the Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003. Letting these tax cuts expire is their answer. Yet the data flatly contradict this “tax cuts caused the deficits” narrative.

Mr. Obama asserted in his January State of the Union Address that by the time he took office, “we had a one-year deficit of over $1 trillion and projected deficits of $8 trillion over the next decade. Most of this was the result of not paying for two wars, two tax cuts, and an expensive prescription drug program.”

In short, it’s all President Bush’s fault. But Mr. Obama’s assertion fails on three grounds.

First, the wars, tax cuts and the prescription drug program were implemented in the early 2000s, yet by 2007 the deficit stood at only $161 billion. How could these stable policies have suddenly caused trillion-dollar deficits beginning in 2009? SOURCE

Chamber of Commerce Slams Obama on Jobs, Taxes, Regulations

This report from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce out weigh Obama’s creating jobs and stimulating the economy statements. Obama the unemployed Americans know better and you should stop lying to we the citizens. Unemployment is still near 10% and some states the unemployment is much higher, take a look at Harry Reid’s state. Come on Barack Obama please stop the campaign lying and tell us the truth….that you have made unemployment worst with your tax and regulatory policies. Mr. President you have now put more workers on unemployment by shutting down the oil drilling wells in the Gulf…

One of the most influential U.S. business groups accused President Barack Obama on Wednesday of neglecting job creation and sowing economic uncertainty with burdensome tax and regulatory policies.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce urged Obama and his Democratic allies in Congress to shift their approach to “unlock frozen capital and jolt our economy back to life.”

The group released the letter before a “Jobs for America” summit it is hosting and on the same day Obama’s Council of Economic advisers is releasing a report that shows the president’s policies are creating jobs and stimulating the economy.

The letter adds to growing criticism the Obama administration has faced lately from the business sector. Keep read at SOURCE
