The U.S. Postal Service Loses $3.5 Billion


This story brings me to ask how much longer will we have mail deliver to our home mail boxes? It’s bad when our government can not manage their own business and at the same time want to take over private companies like GM and our Healthcare. Seem that the price of the stamp will go sky-high soon! When will it all stop?

The U.S. Postal Service reported a quarterly net loss of $3.5 billion on Thursday and said it probably will have a cash shortfall going into 2011.

The agency, which delivers nearly half the world’s mail, has reported net losses in 14 of the past 16 fiscal quarters.

Revenue in the third quarter that ended June 30 fell $294 million to $16 billion from a year ago, while expenses were $789 million higher at $19.5 billion, due largely to higher workers’ compensation costs and retiree health benefits.SOURCE

“Unfortunately, the Postal Service seems to be attempting to justify their proposed rate hikes of ten times the rate of inflation - a move that would drive away more consumers and worsen the financial situation they’re highlighting in this report,” said Tony Conway

Obama appears set on a collision course with the Supreme Court over his agenda!

President Obama appears set on a collision course with the conservative-leaning Supreme Court over the constitutionality of his administration’s transformative legislative agenda, legal scholars say.

Partisan battles over the Supreme Court nomination of Elena Kagan, combined with the administration’s proposals to change established policy dramatically in fields ranging from healthcare to financial regulation to energy and immigration, make it likely that Obama and the court’s conservative majority increasingly will be at loggerheads, these experts say. Barack Obama’s Phony Healthcare Horror Stories

Robin Lynn Beaton’s insurance was suspended and then terminated when she needed it the most.

But not for the reasons Obama cites.

She “was about to get a double mastectomy when her insurance company canceled her policy because she forgot to declare a case of acne,” he said in one telling.

Beaton did not lose her insurance because she failed to own up to a skin problem in her past. She lost it because, when enrolling in the plan, she had not reported a previous heart condition and did not list her weight accurately.

Obama tells stories of real-life hardships repeatedly, in his speech to a joint session of Congress, during interviews, and at the citizen meetings he has appeared at across the country to generate support for his campaign to rework medical insurance. Beaton’s case is just one of the examples Obama cites that mixes fact with fiction.

Rep. Joe Barton, Beaton’s Republican congressman in Texas, fought the insurer until it restored her coverage, enabling her to get the surgery 10 weeks after it was postponed. She told The Associated Press that she owes Barton and his aides her life.

But somewhere along the way, Beaton’s case became a White House tale of an insurer’s canceling coverage because she forgot to report acne. Read More

This president sure lies alot, sounds like the ACORN group that he help create does he not. How can the American people trust such a lier to run their country and spend taxpayer money in a wise way. There are many questions we as Americans need to find answers to.  The above is not the only healthcare horror story that Obama has told that was not true. Rep. Joe Wilson spoke the truth when he said “You lie” to Obama!
