Blue Dog Democrats: Healthcare Talks Break Down In Anger
The seven Blue Dogs on the Energy and Commerce Committee stormed out of a Friday meeting with their committee chairman, Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), saying Waxman had been negotiating in bad faith over a number of provisions Blue Dogs demanded be changed in the stalled healthcare bill.
Melancon said there would be 40-45 “solid no” votes from the 52-strong Blue Dogs, among other problems throughout the caucus. And Melancon said there are more Democrats who will vote against the bill.
“If they try to bring it to the floor, I think they’ll find out they have more problems than the Blue Dogs.”

The Obama healthcare bill will raise taxes on the small businesses and cause more jobs lost. On top of the new wage increase which will cause more job lost cause the small businesses will not hire young people to give them a start in life with a job, they will hire one older more experience person and not two young people trying to get a start.

Democratic lawmakers opposed to federal funding for abortions said Tuesday the House leadership’s health care bill contains a “hidden mandate” that would allow taxpayer dollars to be used to end pregnancies.

Over the congress break hopefully the lawmakers will read the Obamacare bill before deciding to vote for it or not. How can we trust what Obama promises when he has broken all promises so far? I voted for one democrat Rep. last election and if he votes for the Obamacare bill he will lose my vote the next time he’s up for election, same goes for republicans I voted for. We need a change in Washington and a balance congress!
