Read Part Two of this Report Here:

Washington DC - The bad news for global warming alarmists just keeps rolling in. Below is a very small sampling of very inconvenient developments for Gore, the United Nations, and the mainstream media. Peer-reviewed studies, analyses, and prominent scientists continue to speak out to refute climate fears. The majority of data presented below is from just the past few weeks.  Also see: U.S. Senate Minority Report: “Over 400 Prominent Scientists (and rapidly growing) Disputed Man-Made Global Warming Claims in 2007”  & ‘Consensus’ On Man-Made Global Warming Collapses in 2008   - July 18, 2008 & An August 2007 report detailed how proponents of man-made global warming fears enjoy a monumental funding advantage over skeptical scientists. Bush The Cooler: ‘Planet has cooled since Bush took office’ – November 12, 2008
Excerpt: On this symbolic date, it seems worthwhile to reflect that the planet has not only cooled since George W. Bush took office – pause and let the significance of that one sink in – but began to chill significantly at almost precisely the moment that we signed the Kyoto Protocol, exactly ten years ago today.

Now may we start drilling for more oil and gas and use the coal we have to build back up this great Nation of ours. May we stop sending money for oil to people that don’t like us? DRILL NOW BABY DRILL NOW!!!

Just when it is all coming apart, here’s another push. These clueless bureaucrats plan to revamp the entire U.S. economy based on the notion that CO2 is the cause of global warming, and that they can do something about it by bankrupting coal-fired power plants and substituting clean alternative energy. There is no evidence that this is other than fantasy.

Store Sales Falter, Franchisers Consolidate Vendors and Deliveries, Trim Portions and Play Up Cheaper Menu Items

November 21, 2008 · 2 Comments

“These restaurant operators are really operating under a perfect storm, dealing with record [high] commodity prices, higher labor costs with the minimum wage increasing and falling consumer demand,” says Robert Marzo, senior analyst of food service for F&D Reports, a retail consulting firm in Great Neck, N.Y. “Many of [them] can no longer offer the same quality ingredients that they have in years past, so they’re downgrading in any way that they can.”

They’re getting “creative with their recipes, using cheaper ingredients and offering smaller portions in an effort to stay afloat,” he adds.

So democrats don’t try a say that all this is cause by the Republicans, as it was the democrats who raise fed min wages! At the time I was posting on another discussion board and said that when the democrats took control of congress and raised the min wages that prices would go up and people would lose jobs and they have. Now with these businesses hurting Obama wants to raise their taxes and require them to provide healthcare for their workers along with still raisng fed min wages again…..if he does then the employees just as well sleep in and forget about having a job and head on down to the wel-fare office!

Lobbyist’s Work For Obama Transition Raises Concerns Over Ethics Guidelines

November 20, 2008 · No Comments

A communications industry lobbyist who has represented some of the nation’s most powerful cable, Internet and telecommunications firms is drawing scrutiny for his role on President-elect Obama’s transition team.

James Halpert, an attorney and registered lobbyist with DLA Piper, is advising on matters involving the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and intellectual property, according to many sources in the technology sector who are familiar with Obama’s transition operations.

Critics are crying foul because they insist Halpert lobbied these issues just a few months ago, in violation of Obama’s strict ethics guidelines, which state that parties joining the transition effort are prohibited from working in areas in which they focused as registered lobbyists in the last 12 months.

“When we saw his name pop up as the transition guy for IP, I mean, everybody nearly had a heart attack,” an industry source said.

The flap over Halpert comes as corporate stakeholders and watchdogs jockey for position to influence decisions the new administration will make in the coming weeks and months that could profoundly affect their businesses and reverse eight years of largely deregulatory communications policies.

While the Obama team has released the names of its top transition advisers, several of whom have deep ties to communications firms and associations, hundreds more  including Halpert have not been disclosed to the public.

Change we can count on, may I quit laughing now? Everything Obama is doing looks like old Washington corruption to me. Where is the change? Like I said change can be bad as well as good and Obama’s change looks to be bad!!

November 20, 2008 · No Comments

ISRAEL-IRAN/AIRPOWER

The Israeli Air Force is ready to attack Iran’s suspected nuclear weapons project if diplomacy fails to persuade the Islamic Republic to halt uranium enrichment, said Commander Ido Nehushtan in an interview published Tuesday.

The news comes as the U.N. watchdog agency reports Iran is probably at the point of being capable of making a nuclear bomb.

“We are prepared and ready to do whatever Israel needs us to do and if this is the mission we’re given then we are ready,” Nehushtan told German magazine Der Spiegel.
