Doctors are opting out of Medicare at alarming rates

Texas doctors are opting out of Medicare at alarming rates, frustrated by reimbursement cuts they say make participation in government-funded care of seniors unaffordable.Two years after a survey found nearly half of Texas doctors weren’t taking some new Medicare patients, new data shows 100 to 200 a year are now ending all involvement with the program. Before 2007, the number of doctors opting out averaged less than a handful a year.
“This new data shows the Medicare system is beginning to implode,” said Dr. Susan Bailey, president of the Texas Medical Association. “If Congress doesn’t fix Medicare soon, there’ll be more and more doctors dropping out and Congress’ promise to provide medical care to seniors will be broken.”  READ MORE AT SOURCE

Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc. to slash 6,000 jobs

Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc. on Tuesday announced that it would shut down eight manufacturing plants around the world, scale back production at several other sites, and slash 6,000 jobs in total in its ongoing restructuring effort to cut down on payroll expense.

The plants that will close include those in Puerto Rico, Ireland, Virginia, and New York. Operations at several other locations such as Sanford, N.C., and Havant, U.K., will be scaled back.

In a statement, Pfizer’s Manufacturing Director Nat Ricciardi called the job cuts “critical to our efforts to remain competitive.” SOURCE

People still losing jobs while Obama and the democrats expect these same unemployed workers to give them their vote in November 2010 and in 2012!

??? “whiteness” is evidence of “racism.” Too White ???

Freedom of speech and assembly should not be based on a quota system.  Will we now have a situation in speech, like that in hiring, that requires 12% black or 11% Hispanic or 2% Muslim for that speech to be politically valid and acceptable?
Over the past few months, CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post, the Huffington Post and Democrat politicians, including former President Clinton and others, have questioned the legitimacy of the Tea Party movement because, as they say, it is “too white.”
To them, such “whiteness” is evidence of “racism.”

Why are the liberals trying to divide the blacks, Hispanics and whites more instead of bringing all together,  the answer is the democrats and Obama is counting on the black and hispanic votes and will do anything to get those votes.  From what I see Obama’s not done anything for America except spend our tax money unwisely by giving it to his 2008 supporters! Obama is trying to take freedom of speech and many other freedoms away from we the people!  If Obama gets another term as president the racism in America will get much worst.
