Birth on pavement ‘after being refused ambulance’

A young mother gave birth on a pavement outside a hospital after she was told to make her own way there.

Mother-of-three Carmen Blake called her midwife to ask for an ambulance when she went into labour unexpectedly with her fourth child.

But the 27-year-old claims she was refused an ambulance and told to walk the 100m from her house in Leicester to the city’s nearby Royal Infirmary. Read more

 

America is this the kind of health care that we need? Obama’s government ran health care will be just as bad if not worst than the government ran health care in the UK where this sort ( refused an ambulance ) of treatment happens on a daily basis from what we have heard from over across the pond.

A person exercising absolute power, esp. a ruler who has absolute, unrestricted control in a government without hereditary succession.

Most dictators have several characteristics in common. They usually rule autocracies, governments with a single self-appointed leader and no governing body to check his power.

Democrats on a House committee are seeking detailed financial records from dozens of large insurance companies, officials disclosed Tuesday, part of an investigation into “executive compensation and other business practices” in an industry opposed to President Barack Obama’s plan to overhaul health care.

Nick Choate, a spokesman for Stupak, said 52 letters were sent late Monday to the nation’s largest health insurers, those with $2 billion or more in annual premiums. He said letters were not sent to other industry groups, some of which have been airing television advertising in support of Obama’s call for legislation.

One of the leading Senate Republicans working on the bipartisan healthcare reform bill called President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “intellectually dishonest” for skirting the discussion of specific provisions in the Democratic legislation.

By avoiding former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s charge of creating “death panels” with the legislation, Obama and Pelosi are fooling the public in their tactics for government-run healthcare, Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa said.

Last week, Grassley charged Democrats with wanting to “pull the plug on grandma” and said the House bill would even deny brain cancer treatment to Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass.

I agree with you Grassley and most of Americans agree from what I see in the townhall meeting. The seniors are speaking out by dropping memberships from the AARP, also speaking out against Obamacare! Obama has been lying to the American people from the start of his campaign. If we allow the Democrats to push Obamacare down our throats America will not be called “America the free” every again! Stand up Americans and lets surround the government and tell Obama that we will not allow him to take over our freedom of choice! Tell him we will not allow his socialist programs in our Great Country and therefore we shall keep America Great and free!
