UK, the Carbon Trust attempting to influence the democratic debate in the U.S.

Despite growing pressure for public spending cuts in the UK, the Carbon Trust is expanding its empire to establish a presence in the U.S. and China.
The Daily Mail has learned that the organisation, which received almost £100million in taxpayer funding last year, is trying to recruit a Head of Carbon Trust U.S.A.

Critics expressed astonishment that the trust was attempting to influence the democratic debate in the U.S.

Iain Murray, an energy expert at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a U.S. think-tank, said: ‘ Americans are extremely sceptical about the cost to America of emissions reduction. I suspect they will be even more annoyed if their representatives listen to the British Government rather than to them. Read More

Bed shortage forces 4,000 mothers to give birth in lifts, offices and hospital toilets

Thousands of women are having to give birth outside maternity wards because of a lack of midwives and hospital beds.
The lives of mothers and babies are being put at risk as births in locations ranging from lifts to toilets – even a caravan – went up 15 per cent last year to almost 4,000.
Health chiefs admit a lack of maternity beds is partly to blame for the crisis, with hundreds of women in labour being turned away from hospitals because they are full.

Umbrella organization of unions and other progressive groups, will be involved in Democats 1,000 events over the next two weeks! (Obamacare)

A Democratic official says the national party will hold more than 1,000 events over the next two weeks in its latest attempt to pressure Congress to embrace President Obama’s call for health care reform.

Organizing for America, Obama’s campaign operation now housed at the Democratic National Committee, is coordinating the “Health Insurance Reform Now: Let’s Get it Done” events that are scheduled to kick off on Wednesday. Now we understand why Obama is giving Unions taxpayer money to help them pay for their health insurance. Its a pay off for their support as he has with ACORN! I guess the only way to get the democrats to listen is with our votes in 2010 when we vote them out of office. Obama is bring down the democrats in congress along with himself. After the Republicans take back congress Obama and these democrats should be investigated for illegal pay offs!
