House Democrats See Healthcare Deal Hopes Collapse

The leader of a group of Democratic fiscal conservatives in the House of Representatives said talks on a U.S. healthcare overhaul bill fell apart on Friday and that he saw no possibility of a deal now.

Representative Mike Ross said that “after over a week of very intense and what I believe to be good faith negotiations … it pretty much fell apart this afternoon.”

If I was a democrat and was up for re-election in 2010 no way would I vote for Obamacare or Cap and Trade because I would not want to go down with Barack Obama. Obama’s coattail will be very short by election time if he keeps on his far left liberal path. The American people will make a change in congress and get rid of those that are not listening to them.

Under the current draft of the Democrat healthcare legislation, members of Congress are curiously exempt from the government-run health care option, keeping their existing health plans and services on Capitol Hill.

So why should they care about how they vote? They will not have the government ran healthcare like most Americans will. Do you really think its fair that congress is exempt and can keep their existing health plans where as you can not?

No wonder Obama is in such a rush to get his health care reform package through Congress before the August recess.

And before the public finds out about Ezekiel Emanuel, special advisor to Peter Orzag, Obama’s director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and brother to White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.

Emanuel has written in medical journals of how health care should be rationed, with priority given to younger people over seniors and over those suffering from dementia, according to John Goodman, president of the National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA). Ezekiel also believes that very young children should be lower on the priority list than younger people who have received public educations.

Goodman cites an article Ezekiel co-authored with two other men that appeared in the January 31, 2009, edition of the British medical journal, The Lancet.
