Black Evangelicals Emerging as New Conservatives (Good News)

A number of black evangelical leaders are rising up as a new voice in the conservative movement traditionally dominated by white Protestants.

Their centerpiece agendas are abortion and same-sex “marriage” – the same two key social issues emphasized by most conservative evangelicals.

But unlike the typical white evangelical Christian that is most likely part of the conservative wing of the Republican party, these African American leaders may be card-carrying Democrats but willing to switch over to the Republican side if their conservative values are addressed.

I think blacks and whites all see what is happening to their country and don’t like what they see. We’re all Americans and don’t want to become a socialist nation. We all still have our good morals!

As the effects of the economic collapse began pouring down Main Street, the government last year was left holding a record $2.1 billion in write-offs of small business loans it had guaranteed. Officials expect the number of defaults to rise as the nation continues to climb out of the recession.

Records obtained under the federal Freedom of Information Act show the public is paying to offset bank losses on small business loans across the country, from a convenience store in the tiny Canadian border town of Houlton, Maine, to a graphic arts design company on the island of Hawaii, more than 5,000 miles away.

Despite having loans written off, little companies such as Caffe Sportivo, an espresso shop and small gym in Redwood City, Calif., are barely scraping by.

We will see many more having a hard time staying in business and more unemployment. Has the American people came to its senses and figured out what Obama is up to with his big spending spree and socialist programs. We better hope so, because if the Socialist Obamacare gets pass we will have the freedom to choose our insurance, doctor and will have a government agent telling the doctor and the people what treatments we can and can not have, based on age, cost, and maybe even race.
