UPDATE – Rahm Emanuel’s Ethics (Freddie Mac)

UPDATE: Link gives more details about Emanuel at Freddie Mac!

Rahm Emanuel’s profitable stint at Freddie Mac

Sean Hannity: We already knew Democrats like Barack Obama, Chris Dodd, Maxine Waters and Barney Frank had received loads of money from the very banks responsible for our financial turmoil. Now, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is joining their ranks.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Emanuel raked in $320,000 from failed mortgage giant Freddie Mac over a 14-month period, during which time he served on the company’s board. According to the Tribune, on Emanuel’s watch the board was told by executives of a plan to use accounting tricks to mislead shareholders about outsize profits the government-chartered firm was then reaping from risky investments.

And let’s not forget that Emanuel’s boss, the president, was the No. 2 recipient of Fannie and Freddie funds in the entire Senate — no easy feat. So when you’re looking to for a place to send complaints about the current fiscal crisis, you can send them directly to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

From what I hear is that Sean Hannity will be broadcasting live from Atlanta, Georgia on the day of the Tea Party which is  15 April. He also said there would be reporters around the country at the other Tea Party Protest Rallies! This will be the time to get our voices heard loud and clear!

Not only that but look what the Democrats in Washington State is trying to do to the Boeing Co.

Bill would forbid Boeing from threatening to leave state

SIX Democratic legislators have introduced a bill to stop Boeing from threatening to move out of Washington. That’s right: threatening to move. Such is a silly end to a silly story.

The tale begins with a different bill, one that would forbid any company from requiring employees to attend a meeting about labor issues. The bill is organized labor’s, which calls it the “Worker Privacy Act.” We argued on this page that it violates federal labor law, employers’ free-speech rights and simple fairness.

At the time, we were told the bill was snake venom to Boeing, and would be just the thing to scare the company into moving to North Carolina. Boeing officials had not said that to us. Its friends had said it, and to everyone who would listen.

The bill looked like it might pass until two weeks ago, when the story broke that the Washington State Labor Council was caught sending a threatening e-mail about it. Democratic leaders said immediately the bill was dead, and that they were sending the radioactive e-mail to the Washington State Patrol. Read more

Obama and the democrat control congress is killing more jobs than the Stimulus plan is making! The next thing we will hear about is the Obama government trying to take control of companies like Boeing. Obama is after power and ruling like a dictator!

UPDATE Mar 02 – West Virginia Farm Bureau Endorses HB 3007 drug test recipients of Welfare, Unemployment and Food Assistance

Delegate Craig Blair: Nowhere in our state or U.S. constitutions is it mandated that financial assistance is a right. Make no mistake, it is a privilege afforded to those in need by the taxpayers via our federal and state governments. Also, unemployment compensation premiums are currently paid by the employer, not the employee; however that may change very soon. We should also remember that illicit drug use is illegal. It is a crime that has criminal penalties.

I think it’s time that we get serious about the problem of illegal drug users abusing our public assistance system in West Virginia. We should require random drug testing for every individual receiving welfare, food assistance or unemployment benefits. After all, more and more employers are requiring drug testing. Why not make sure that people who are supposed to be looking for work are already prequalified by being drug free? Read More

More:  UPDATE

Austin ER’s got 2,678 visits from 9 people over 6 years costing $3 million
In the past six years, eight people from Austin and one from Luling racked up 2,678 emergency room visits in Central Texas, costing hospitals, taxpayers and others $3 million, according to a report from a nonprofit made up of hospitals and other providers that care for the uninsured and low-income Central Texans.

One of the nine spent more than a third of last year in the ER: 145 days. That same patient totaled 554 ER visits from 2003 through 2008.

The report that mentioned the nine high-frequency patients didn’t include reasons for all of those ER visits and didn’t identify the patients because of privacy laws. But Kitchen, a former state legislator from Austin, gave a sketch: All nine speak English; three are homeless; five are women whose average age is 40, and four are men whose average age is 50. Seven have a mental health diagnosis and eight have a drug abuse diagnosis. Kitchen said she did not know their citizenship status.
