Ben: I think that a lot of the money from whatever the source could be spent on a lot of better things.

Luke: That article points out what are fundamental problems with higher education. From admitting students that shouldn’t be there to Educators that are pushing personal beliefs over critical thinking and the foundations for developing that skill set.

I’m not sure which campus Ben attended but the C.U. Boulder campus is almost a joke. Students that go there for, say, the first two years. Then transfer to U.C.D. or U.C. C.S. are often sent to local junior colleges to polish up the skills that they should have acquired at Boulder!
As for being a Kantian ethicist? That is precisely the methodology that I used to utterly destroy the basis of Multiculturalism based ethics that we students were being force fed. Churchill’s brand of hate was based in such nonsense as well as outright lies and unsubstantiated theory where he cited himself as the historical source. That’s not integrity, it’s dishonesty, and it was paid for with tax money for the most part!

Your students fees and Obama’s free money is all part of the school’s cach of operating money and so how would you know which dollar came from what? The school don’t have the money marked!

In regards to Obamas tax money paying for the Terrorist Twins… No, it was my student fees that paid for that horrible misuse of funds. I was and still am irate about it, I demand a refund. I for one know that campus needs new desks, and clocks in rooms, as well as updating the horrible excusees for bathrooms in most of the buildings

UC prolly does get stimulated, but they get federal aid all the time, and it’s all fungible. Universities should be starved of taxpayer funds, as should most other organs of the state.

Sperry, what was the topic of the presentation where you were introduced to Injun Ward Churchill?

Stimulus money goes to the University of Colorado and then how much is paid William Ayers for speaking there? Is our tax money going to Willaim Ayers the known terrorist friend of Obama?

One thing that I really enjoyed about this was an interview of a student by KUSA Channel 9 in Denver.
That young student spoke quite well, and pointed out most of what has been said here in the previous comments.

For my part, I am seriously happy that Churchill is gone from CU, at least for the most part. His constant use of thuggery and intimidation on campus was a serious problem. Once, while at UCD, he showed up during a presentation that I was delivering and attempted to shout me down. It didn’t work, and only served to reinforce my positions.

William Ayers is an unrepentant terrorist, and IMO who’s very existence is strong evidence for death penalty enforcement as well as abortion…

William Ayers said Thursday that politicians are trying to dictate what can be taught, and who can teach it.

This from a guy who appears with Hugo Chavez to declare: “We share the belief that education is the motor-force of revolution. . . . I look forward to seeing how you continue to overcome the failings of capitalist education as you seek to create something truly new and deeply humane.”
