Smart Girl Politics says: Most people aren’t hurting yet. At last not to the point they are prepared to make personal sacrifice to save our country. Most people don’t really understand or are not aware of the real and present danger we are facing. Many are still flush with their excitement of the new cool dude President. Others just don’t think about it one way or the other. People are generally concerned with their own lives than they are with the bigger picture.
My fear is that we aren’t quite ready for the Tea Party. I fear we’ll be forced to fall down before the average person is ready to stand up to ‘The Man’ and tell him (them) ‘No taxation without representation’ as our forefathers did. We aren’t quite ready to experience sacrifice that isn’t forced upon us.
My fear is that there will be a lot more loss, suffering and big government infringing on our lives before a real grass roots effort to stop the bleeding will take effect. My hope is that it won’t be too late and we will be able to salvage our country before so much damage is done that the cure entail enormous sacrifice and pain.
