Here we go with secrets which Obama promised that would not be in the stimulus (spending) bill. He is taking this country down the road to socialist fast as I think he’s worried about the elections two years from now when he will loose control of congress! Have any opinions on this?

Bunch of easter eggs in this abomination at varioius points in its progress. Billions for the Dems’ criminal auxiliary, ACORN. Mandated COBRA extensions, making it more costly for firms to hire (“paycheck fairness” was another recent move that will impair labor markets, and in a recession). Open-ended funding for welfare programs, to reverse the reforms of the 90′s. One think tank or another will have their wonk brigades poring over the conference report, finding more gems. Maybe we’ll have time to publicize some before the final vote. May be able to peel off a few more Dems in the House. Filibuster is still a remote possibility in the Senate. We can HOPE.

I am reading that the bill will allow government to override doctors recommendations, fine doctors who dont comply and pull the plug on end of life care(see Ann Coulter’s website) .

Obama seem to have secret plans for America! Not only that he still has not proved his citizenship and I do not understand how our elected lawmakers can allow him not to. Like you said its scary stuff!

First, a definition: socialized medicine = doctors are government employees like they are in England. Obama’s plans don’t include that. You just use the phrase to frighten in ignorant.
Second, America’s health care system doesn’t deliver as well as you think. Americans have a lower life expectancy than Brits, French, Canadians, Germans, Fins, Spainiards, Swiss, Swedes, Singapore, Japanese… and the list goes on. That’s an important measure of our current system’s failures.
Did you know that health care is already rationed in the United States? It’s rationed by the ability of individuals to pay. You’re afraid of the government denying end-of-life care? Insurance companies control that now and they’re accountable only to shareholders, not to the public. Read this article about how end-of-life spending isn’t necessarily linked to quality of life, length of life, or honoring the wishes of patients.
We need to have a debate about health care in America, but we need data instead of demagogues. Don’t rush (or Rush) to condemn Obama’s plan until you read it for yourself.

Strictly, you’re correct. The O’s approach to planning generally seems more “corporatist” — fascist, in other words — than purely socialist. Still statist, choice-limiting, and wildly inefficient.

Rather more to it than you think. None of these countries is as racially heterogenous as the US, for instance, and life spans vary according to race, among other things.

Under the socialized regimes, it’s still rationed by ability to pay, though, in this case that of taxpayers. All goods are rationed, one way or another, in this vail of tears. What we dislke is the inefficiency and state coercion that invariably goes along with the socialist rationing solution. Canadians can cross the border to get the care they’re willing and able to pay for. Once the US is socialized, the last, best hope of a hip replacement before 2017 will be gone. We’ll be well and truly screwed then, my little jag. Socialized health care will be the end of us.
