Already on food stamps before having octuplets – Update, Another Batch On Way!

Taxpayers are already footing part of the bill for a situation he helped create. Suleman receives $490 a month in food stamps, and three of her first six children are disabled and receiving federal benefits. Moreover, Kaiser Permanente Hospital in suburban Bellflower has asked California’s health plan for the poor to cover the cost for the eight premature infants in its care, according to multiple sources familiar with the case.

Suleman’s publicist, Michael Furtney, confirmed the information about the food stamps and federal supplemental security income after two sources informed the Times of the benefits. Three sources told the Times that Kaiser has requested Medi-Cal reimbursement for care of the octuplets, which is estimated to run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Read More

Octuplets doctor has another patient expecting quadruplets
A few months after Dr. Michael Kamrava helped Nadya Suleman become pregnant with octuplets, he transferred at least seven embryos to another patient.

She was in her late 40s and wanted just one baby.

Now she’s five months pregnant with quadruplets and hospitalized at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, according to several sources familiar with the situation

Raid Alert, Raid Alert: Feds Narrowing In On Companies With Ties To Murtha

The FBI searched the Virginia headquarters of the PMA Group in November, according to the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. PMA was founded by former Murtha aide Paul Magliochetti and specializes in winning earmarked taxpayer funds for its clients.

Good government groups have long criticized Murtha’s cozy relationship with a handful of lobbyists and defense firms, ties that see millions of dollars in government spending go out from Murtha’s office, and hundreds of thousands in campaign donations come in. Murtha has said his earmarking has helped revive his economically depressed district.

PMA is the second company with close ties to Murtha to be raided by federal agents recently.

Senate approves resolution apologizing for slavery

The U.S. Senate on Thursday passed a resolution apologizing to African-Americans for the wrongs of slavery.

The nonbinding resolution sponsored by Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, is similar to a House resolution adopted last year that acknowledged the wrongs of slavery but offered no reparations. The House will have to vote on the issue again because the composition of that chamber changed after last November’s elections.

The resolution was approved on a voice vote.

Because it is nonbinding, it does not have to be forwarded to the president for his signature.

Several states have passed similar resolutions, but the House resolution was the first time a branch of the federal government did so.

Harkin’s resolution “acknowledges the fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality and inhumanity of slavery, and Jim Crow laws,” and “apologizes to African-Americans on behalf of the people of the United States for the wrongs committed against them and their ancestors who suffered under slavery and Jim Crow laws.” Read More at CNN

Goodtimepolitics: Where is the slaves that the government is apologizing to? The blacks here today don’t even know what slavery really is, can not be them that the government is apologizing to, now could it? No one living today had any blacks living today as a slave now have they? So what does the blacks wants? I could say the blacks are being racist by them asking for Reparations for something that the Whites never did to them cause they were not even born back then and it was the Brits that sold blacks as slaves anyways. And just to add, the government need not apologize for me cause I have never had or owned a slave, has any other white people today owned slaves?

The blacks want more free handouts I see! Look to your left and then to your right do you see anyone black or white in slavery today? How many slaves still alive is there, most these young blacks don’t know what slavery is must less effected by it! Just another way to suck money out of the now socialist government! Anyone with any good comments on this subject, or was slavery to long ago to remember.
I guess once the blacks get their money, then it will be time for me to ask for compensation from the United States Government for my GreatGreatGrandFather being locked in a Northern prison with no heat and very little food. I can still feel the pain!
