37% Favor Stimulus Bill, Obama Are You Listening?

Support for the economic recovery plan working its way through Congress has fallen again this week.  The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 37% favor the legislation, 43% are opposed, and 20% are not sure.  Rasmussen

Obama is putting all his cards on the table and if this stimulus (spending) bill does not work he will be a one term president. Obama can not blame anyone but self,  G.W. Bush isn’t there to blame!  Obama you need to tell  Pelosi and Reid who is president and then take charge.

Interesting power struggle going on now. Obama is farther left than any president we’ve ever had. The congressional leadership is also way over on the left. And yet they seem to be having trouble getting along. The major Donks in the House and Senate want to see their constituencies get paid, now, reagardless. Obama doesn’t want to waste political capital on this stinker bill and may have his own stealthier and more structural approach to wrecking the nation. There are a number of unhappy campers in the ranks of congressional Dems — the principled Blue Dogs, those in the class of 2006 who owe their seats to Rahm Emanuel’s act-like-a-Republican strategy, the newcomers of 2008 and the holders of marginal seats who understand that they owe their jobs to the once-in-a-lifetime Obama Bubble. O is in a position to make a lot of trouble for Mrs. Pelosi. A TN Dem hinted recently in a radio interview that he’d actually been encouraged by the WH to vote against the Pig Bill from Hell. A good number of Dems — 50+, I think — are suddenly lobbying Steny Hoyer to spread the power in a less Pelosi-centric way. What I suspect Obama wants at this point is a bill, any bill, that can be advertised as a stimulus and that will get at least some measure of R support. If the economy recovers soon, he’ll look good, an activist president; if the economy continues bad, he’ll have some cover. Either way, he’ll have some time to get his own agenda — still mysterious, but undoubtedly “remaking” America — back on the table. What R’s have to do is stand firm for tax cuts (which Obama doesn’t like, on principle) and not be seduced by cosmetic nips and tucks to the spending package. They’ll have an issue and they’ll have The Lightworker over a barrel.

  • Where I’m coming from!

As a person that's been around the country and seen what America was and now what she has became makes me sick. I keep up with the news and what's going on and try to state my opinion of the way I feel about the U.S. Government and the way it's dictating our every day personal lives. I'm not a conservative or am I a liberal, just call me a good American citizen that will vote for the person based on their past history. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the post I make.
