With all due respect Mr. President, that is not true.
The line from Barack Obama and Joe Biden is that all economists agree with a stimulus package to expand government spending. So they won’t have been happy to see a full page advertisement in today’s New York Times disagreeing, signed by around 200 academic economists, including three Nobel prize-winners.
When Obama tells the American people that everyone wants his stimulus bill, its not really the truth. He has a way of making things sound just the way some people want to hear them…called political talk or double talk that can mean anything!

Every single R voted No. Good for them!
I agree and now if this stimulus package does not work and many say that it will fail to make jobs, then Obama will have to take it totally on his shoulder! Even MSNBC was talking that the stimulus would not work and that it was nothing more than a bill filled with pork barrel spenting! Obama’s honey moon is over!
The Republican party is slowly dying. These are the last gasps of an outdated ideology.
You only wish….you’re forgetting that the democrats died a few years back! Matter of fact Obama approval rating is dropping pretty fast these days and the democrats in congress rating is the lowest in history. Better quit taking those Obama pills but then again I see that this was coming from a Liberal, Atheist right there 23five23!
Here’s interesting. You may recall that House opposition to the Big Debt and Big Government Bill was bi-partisan, with all R’s and a few responsible D’s voting Nay. This was not what the Obama had envisioned, needless to say. It is crucial for Obie and the Donks to get some Republican, somewhere, to co-own the measure. That way, when the economy is further weakened and the central government permanently strengthened to no good effect, they can say: “Well, we were all mistaken, D’s and R’s both.” Now weak-kneed R’s in the Senate will be targeted by the perpetual Obama campaign. Note the quote from O’s campaign manager David la Plouffé.
“It’s almost as if the election didn’t happen and that the message wasn’t received: that people in Washington need to cooperate a lot more than they have in the past.”
I see. So, two weeks ago, dissent was the highest form of patriotism. Now, however, after Obama’s massive win, with only 46% of voters (and a much higher fraction of voters with working brains) telling him to go back to community organizing, it is essential that absolutely everyone get with the program. The leftist mindset is everywhere totalitarian.

Luke nailed it this time!
Cheers!
Yep! Obama wants someone to share the blame when his plan does not work! I see him as a one term president if he makes it that long without being impeached. Thats it a Carter for sure.
23five23 you are correct, the Republican party is dying and they should die but the conservative movement will grow and we will win and reform the republicans to its true conservative beginning.
yeah, good luck with that.

Two years of Obama and the American people will be sick of the democrats socialist policies! The Obama honeymoon is over!
11 days in? It hasn’t even started yet.
His approval is 67%, up 1% from yesterday (http://www.gallup.com/Home.aspx) on Gallup,
63% on Rasmussen (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_approval_index),
and 75% on Research 2000.
It’s going to be a hard four years for you guys, now that intelligence and social justice are key instead of religious dogma and trickle down voodoo economics.
Cel-e-brate good times, come on! I’m looking forward to after Obama’s eight years, when we can elect a true liberal into office.
Conservatism is, cough, cough, gasping, for air.
Rasmussen report
January 30, 2009: Seventy-five percent (75%) of Democrats Strongly Approve of the President’s performance along with 30% of unaffiliated voters and 14% of Republicans.
January 29, 2009: Fifty-two percent (52%) say the President is doing a good or an excellent job on economic issues and 50% say the same about national security issues.
January 26, 2009:The President’s negatives have risen a bit since he assumed office and 20% now Strongly Disapprove of his performance. That stems largely from growing disapproval from conservatives. The higher negatives give Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +21, his lowest rating as President or President-elect since before Thanksgiving.
goodtimepolitics: Looks to be about 50/50 when it is figured out where and from who the approval ratings are coming from. We shall see 2 years from now where The Mixed Bag of Nuts Obama will be standing. Could be in a pile of sh_t or could be on a pile of The American people tax money!
Caleb. Just went over to your blog. It is a truly brilliant parody of jelly-brained progressivism. Keep up the good work.
Progressive = progress. Look to the future, not to the past.
goodtimepolitics
way to separate the parts you want to see and the ones you don’t. How does, 50% Strongly approve and 20% Strongly disapprove equate to 50/50 for you?
75% of Democrats strongly approve! I would suppost that 75% Republicans would not strongly approve of Obama = 50% or lower!
Fifty-two percent (52%) say the President is doing a good or an excellent job on economic issues and 50% say the same about national security issues.
Floating right around 50% isn’t it!
January 31: We shall see 2 years from now where The Mixed Bag of Nuts Obama will be standing. Could be in a pile of sh_t or could be on a pile of The American people tax money!
FEB 28: Looks like its going to be a pile of Americans tax money!
