Britain will not take Gitmo terrorist prisoners despite begging by Barack Obama

European Union foreign ministers, meeting in Brussels, gave a warm welcome to the new US President’s decision to close the camp within a year. But most were lukewarm about the idea of taking in non-Europeans that the US does not intend to put on trial and who cannot be sent home for fear they might be mistreated.

The issue has become an early test of Europe’s relationship with President Obama.

Democrats Attack Freedom of Speech – Democrats Launch Petition Against Rush Limbaugh

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has launched an online petition for readers to express their outrage at conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh for saying last week that he wanted President Barack Obama to fail.

The petition includes a 19-second sound byte of Limbaugh, saying, “If I wanted Obama to succeed, I’d be happy the Republicans have laid down. I don’t want this to work. So I’m thinking of replying to this guy, say ‘okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.’”

On Tuesday, in a note at the top of his Web site , Limbaugh responded to the Democrats’ petition: “I am greatly puzzled. Why would the Democrats petition against me if I am doing such terrible damage to the GOP? ” Read More

This American also will say that I hope Obama fails in his big socialist spending government. The Democrats are now falling to their lowest standards by attacking the freedom of speech. Do the democrats remember the times that they wish and hoped that G.W. Bush would fail? Its time for the Republicans and conservatives to stand up and speak out against this attack on our rights. Will we allow the democrats to get by with such non-sense? 2 years aren’t far away voters!

Navy ordered to release Iran weapons ship

Officials said the U.S. Navy intercepted an Iranian-owned ship on Jan. 19 in the Red Sea near the Suez Canal. They said the ship, suspected of transporting cargo for the Hamas regime was searched and found to have contained artillery shells and other weapons.

“We received orders to let the ship go,” an official said. “The assessment was that the cargo was not for Hamas.” Read More

My question is where did the orders to release the ship come from? White House?
