Abortion seems to be the one issue that gets him up on his feet. Most of the time, his IL record shows him voting present on hot button issues, at least as long as they’re in the news, or voting left and then lying about it later, as necessary. But on abortion, going back to his IL Senate days, he’s always been willing to take an extreme stand and stick to it.
