Learned today that the $825 billion will be spent over a period of several years. I’m guessing this means that the O-team is not, after all, peddling that old time Keynesian religion, which calls for all the bucks to be spent now, if not sooner, but is instead peddling that old time FDR politics, which calls for buying off important interest groups, taking pork rationing out of Congress’ hands, and putting a dent in the budget so huge that new taxes are unavoidable. But that’s a lot of guessing on my part.
