You know, sometimes I worry about the propaganda that’s disseminated in the government schools, but then I remember that the default attitude of most modern high-schoolers is that their teachers are boobs. So maybe there’s not so much harm done as all that.

It’s when they’re in college and starting to rely on the “higher order thinking skills” that were never actually developed in high school that kids get in trouble. Wholesome peer pressure is released and the kids find themselves still under assault by faculty leftrons, more persuasive at the college level. Yet another argument for downsizing the higher ed.
