Explicitly designed to change the minds of students who did not view homosexuality as equal to heterosexuality. (Right or Wrong?)
In an effort to combat “homophobia,” a Wisconsin public school teacher implemented a 38-day regimen explicitly designed to change the minds of students who did not view homosexuality as equal to heterosexuality.
11-th grade English teacher Sarah Arnold says she was inspired to create the curriculum, entitled “Exposing Hidden Homophobia,” when she heard an “anti-gay undertone” in students’ conversations, which included making fun of “anything that defied gender stereotype,” according to an article printed in the pro-homosexual publication by the Southern Poverty Law Center “Teaching Tolerance.”
Although students were reluctant and parents “balked,” particularly Christian parents, Arnold would argue that the project supported “higher-order thinking skills” because students were asked to perform such tasks as assembling and presenting portfolios of their research into homosexual culture and media.
The article claims that, thanks to the program, students began to adopt a more favorable view of homosexuality.
“We really want to make a change in how people think and act,” Rafter said. “I will try to be more brave on these issues myself.”

Bible Giveaway Banned at School on Religious Freedom Day
A Southwest Florida man who in past years has been allowed to distribute free Bibles to high school students on Religious Freedom Day was turned down this year by the district’s superintendent.
Jerry Rutherford, president of World Changers, appeared before the Collier County School Board on Thursday to ask for a reversal of the decision but received the same response.
“This rejection is a slap in the face,” said Rutherford, according to Naples News. “The decision to deny access to community groups that are religious in nature is censorship and bias.” Read More
Is this something you would like your children taught?

LOL I wonder if any of the kids assembled and presented honest portfolios of their research. You know, sometimes I worry about the propaganda that’s disseminated in the government schools, but then I remember that the default attitude of most modern high-schoolers is that their teachers are boobs. So maybe there’s not so much harm done as all that.
It’s when they’re in college and starting to rely on the “higher order thinking skills” that were never actually developed in high school that kids get in trouble. Wholesome peer pressure is released and the kids find themselves still under assault by faculty leftrons, more persuasive at the college level. Yet another argument for downsizing the higher ed.
I caught you during an update lukemcgook.
I wonder if that school super would have banned Korans.
Think Obama will come out of the closet tomorrow?
Guess that party!
