Apparently, poverty, crime, taxes, homelessness, and unemployment are of secondary concern to Baltimore State Senator Lisa Gladden, a democrat, who showed up at the opening of the General Assembly session sporting a flashy Obama watch.
But it wasn’t so much the accoutrements she was wearing, it was what she said to a reporter from the local Fox affiliate that rings of the thoughtless and all too often clueless nature of our elected officials.

This is what I been saying all along is that people was voting for Barack Obama because he was black and not the issues! You can tell this by the Barack supporters on the blogs when they defend him no matter what he does! Would that not be called a racist vote?
Lisa Gladden is a narrow minded idiot. She is immature and odd. I am hoping Delegate Jill Carter will replace her in the state senate, and that Lisa will go back to grade school and grow up. I hear she’s never even moved away from home. Maybe that explains it.

A lot of people, black and white, voted for O for racial reasons. This doesn’t much concern me. It’s one of those things the electorate has to get out of its system. Anyone of a certain age remembers what a big deal it was for a Catholic to be elected president in 1960. Same thing now, only more so.
What does concern me is the weird eschatological vibe that runs through the public politics of the last few months. The idea that bills no longer come due in the new, Obama reality is just one evidence of this. Whole lotta weirdness goin’ on. I’m inclined to think that it won’t last much longer. Once Obama’s gone a few rounds with Nancy Pelosi, the revived Rethuglican Attack Machine, and the carrion birds of the media, who have to write about something, the gilt will be wearing off our little Telemprompter Jesus. That’s what I’m inclined to think. However, I’m reading today about the O-team’s plans to keep the love flowing and the mystery shining indefinitely in the zealous millions of The Mailing List.

A new service organization, ready for anything, partly outside party organs, beholden to Obama and only Obama for what will be paid positions for at least some and pro bono Obamae positions for others.
