Brace For More Scandals

Barack Obama’s economic team, already reeling from the financial meltdown, certainly doesn’t need any more headaches. But investigators and Washington officials say that they’re almost certainly going to face one unexpected problem in 2009: More Bernard Madoff-style corruption scandals. Read More

Counting all the corruption before Obama gets inside the Oval Office I can see why they are looking for more!

  1. And how is it that you think there’s a link between Bernie Madoff and Barack Obama?

You’ve become almost completely incredible with your consuming hatred of Obama. Your willingness to pin everything and anything on him is just nuts.

But I’m betting you knew that already.

  2. Do I have to like him just because you think he’s black? I’m not drinking Obama kool-aid as you must be. I will add that its funny that the name Barack Obama shows up in all these Chicago scandals such as the Rod Blagojevich plus the Gov. Richardson scandal. And don’t forget the Jeremiah Wright “God damn America, not God Bless America” that Barack enjoyed listening to for 20 years! Keep drinking that kool-aid and it will mess up your mind if it hasn’t already done just that!

  3. Hate to break the news to you, but Nobama is going to get blamed for anything and everything, just like Bush did, Clinton did, and every other president did. It’s part of the job. You get blamed for America’s screw-ups. You may as well get used to hearing it. I do find it funny though, hearing all the scandals going on. It’s like a soap opera. BOHICA America!!

  4. I have to agree with you helochick! Do you have a lic to fly that things? :)

The differents with Obama is that he has more scandals before he gets into the Oval Office than presidents leaving office after 8 years!

  5. I’m just the crew chief….logged over 1000 hrs in that thing!! It’s the Cadillac of helicopters!

I wonder what the Nobama supporters are really thinking. All I hear is them getting defensive, they have to feel a tad bit silly for voting the way they did. I live in Chicago, this place was HORRIBLE! His supporters here are rude and disrespectful as soon as they find out you didn’t vote for him the first thing they call you is a racist! WTF?
I proudly display my McCain sticker on my bumper, I get a lot of comments, and even had a lady try to run me off the road while flicking me off, but it’s my right. At least we know he’s got a valid BC. Can’t be in the Military without one!

  6. I served in the Army, Air Force and worked as a civilian for the Navy until retirement. Good job you have there and thanks!
I have yet to see how anyone can be racist towards Obama when what we think we know is that he’s 50% white and what percentage of black we don’t know. I guess we could be 50% racist! Its where he stands on the issues and his secrets that I don’t like!

  7. All I hear is them getting defensive, they have to feel a tad bit silly for voting the way they did.

Good points. Many of those who never bothered to inform themselves and voted Obama just because they’re not racists (No! Not a racist!) will indeed be embarrassed, and the true believers are scared to death. They’re scared that the heartache and the thousand natural shocks of running the government will reveal Obama to be a mere politician. They’re scared that more of his background will come to light and reveal him to be more dishonest than the average, even for mere politicians. Above all, they’re scared of playing defense for the next four years. For eight years now, beginning with “selected not elected,” then onward through “Bushie McChimphitler” and “Not My President,” and ending with MSM reminders that everything bad in the world (forever, in both directions) is Bush’s fault, the left has been on offense. Now that they’re going to have to defend the new regime, including the many new policies that are the same as the old policies and the really new policies that are nuts for all to see, the fun has gone out of it for a lot of the shriller moonbats. On January 20, they will have their final celebrations, and then … a long, cold winter, receding approval ratings, a disgraceful Congress, reality.

  8. I’m still waiting for what you think is the supposed link between Obama and Bernie Madoff, GTP. You danced all around that question, didn’t you?

Madoff doesn’t have anything to do with politics or government, unless you want to criticize the SEC for not keeping close enough tabs on him. But the SEC doesn’t report to Obama yet.

You want to pin this one on a politician? I guess it’s pin-the-tail-on-the-Bushie yet again.

  9. Who you going to blame for Obama’s action after 20 Jan, 2009 diogenes? I see he not having such an easy time with his democrat control congress and his pictures getting ran over and Obama flag burning in Iran….he sure knows how to bring the love out of people! And keep spilling your nonsense around diogenes because people learn what you’re all about by your actions. Same goes for Barack, people get knowing you by your actions and the actions are not to good at present time!
Let me just add for you diogenes, your president Barack Hussein Obama didn’t care enough about this country to serve her in the military!

  10. diogenes:I’m still waiting for what you think is the supposed link between Obama and Bernie Madoff, GTP. You danced all around that question, didn’t you?

Both sons have emphatically denied any involvement in what could be the biggest fraud perpetrated by an individual.

However, the link with Mark Madoff may prove controversial for Ms Schapiro and the President-elect, who has moved fast to replace Christopher Cox, the current head of the SEC. The watchdog has came under fire for failing to detect Mr Madoff’s activities. http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/industry_sectors/banking_and_finance/article5364345.ece

goodtimepolitics: Mark Madoff may prove controversial for Ms Schapiro and the President-elect, thats not me saying that diogenes! But now we shall see as Madoff trial goes forth will we not!

  11. Oh, you have to be kidding, GTP. The new SEC chief hired Bernie Madoff’s son, and somehow Barack Obama is now responsible for Madoff’s corruption? Give me a break. You’re playing the Kevin Bacon Game: you can connect any two actors in Hollywood by the movies that Kevin Bacon appeared in.

And helo? 9/11 recruits should have expected to fight in Afghanistan, because that’s where al Qaeda was. There was no al Qaeda in Iraq until we invaded. That’s a big difference.

  12. How do you know there was no al Qaeda in Iraq? How do you know where al Qaeda is right now?
That news was in the USA TODAY so its not just coming from me diogenes. Quit making yourself look so bad by defending Barack on everything, in other words quit drinking the kool-aid! Obama’s honeymoon is over! Burning of Obama flags in Iran tells you that much!

  13. Yeah, there are a lot of dead and some alive al Qaeda in Iraq now. You want to cite USA Today as your “source” for a spin story, GTP, go right ahead. But you better be prepared to recognize that it’s pretty much accepted that al Qaeda wasn’t in Iraq until we went; our troops were pretty much magnets. And al Qaeda had virtually no ties whatsoever to Saddam; I’m pretty sure that USA Today would back that up.

I’m not “defending” Obama on this, I’m asking you how you think the Bernie Madoff scandal is an albatross to hang around Obama’s neck. Obama’s SEC chief once gave Bernie Madoff’s son a job? Are you joking? Is that your idea of yet another scandal that you think will haunt Obama for the next four years? That isn’t even cause for concern for reasonable people for more than four seconds!

As for a honeymoon for Obama, I doubt it would be taken in Iran, so their burning Obama’s image doesn’t faze me squat.

  14. “pretty much accepted”, pretty much magnets”, “virtually no ties”? You don’t sound so confident. I’d like to see the link from wherer you got your info. By saying the there were virtually no ties, you’re suggesting that there were a few. That’s a few too many.

As far as the scandals, it’s going to haunt him BECAUSE he’s the president. As I have said before, as the president you will get blamed for anything and everything by someone somewhere. It’s part of the job. I’m not saying it’s right, that’s just the way it is and has always been. Thanks to our biased media, reporting what they think the public wants to hear, instead of the whole truth.

  15. What the news was saying today about Bernie Madoff scandal was that there was no way that he did this alone and no way no one but Madoff knew about it! So diogenes stand by as this trial goes forward! The reason Barack Obama is named in so many scandals is because of the friends he has hung with such as William Ayers, Tony Rezko and Blagojevich just to name a couple!

  16. There IS no connection between Madoff and Obama. And as for Obama getting blamed for everything since he’s the President, I would humbly suggest that you all check the calendar. Obama won’t be President until next Tuesday. So not only are you unfairly pinning an unrelated scandal on the President, but you’re pinning it on the wrong President!

But, I know: who cares? It’s only Obama!

  17. There were some accounts of an al Qaeda operative meeting with a member of Saddam’s intelligence group in eastern Europe (Belgrade or Sarajevo comes to mind) and the Bush administration blew it up out of all proportion, until it was proved to be a fake. A number of the purported mail contacts between Saddam and Osama were similary faked.

Since Bushie said that the link between Iraq and 9/11 was the biggest reason he chose to invade Iraq in the first place, let me challenge YOU to produce a meaningful link between the two. (And no, GTP’s idea of a “link” between Obama and Madoff doesn’t count, unless you’re just trying to sound foolish.)

And luke? What planet are you from? “While an alQ presence was not alleged in making the official case for war…” Are you joking? Bushie and the Big Dick constantly linked Iraq with 9/11 in the run-up to war. It was the only way they could get the American people behind an invasion of Iraq! You think we went to war because Saddam gassed the Kurds more than a decade before we invaded? Bushie and the Big Dick screamed “Booga Booga NINE ELEVEN!” and everybody panicked. Even Colin Powell apologized for misleading the country in this manner, once he found out he had been misled.

  18. How can you say there is no link between Obama and Madoff ? Where you get that information diogenes, the case has not been tried yet, but trial is coming soon and we shall see!
Barack has more problems now with his cabinet picks, such as the pick to be in charge of IRS not paying over $30,000 dollars in back taxes that he just forgot to pay! How can he rightfully uphold the tax laws when in fact he breaks them himself! Obama has a bag full of scandals and not the king of kings you make him out to be!

  19. My apologies. AlQ presence was indeed part of the official case for war. HJ 114 (the one Harry Reid, John Kerry, Hillary! all voted for) reads in part

    “Whereas members of al Qaida, an organization bearing responsibility for attacks on the United States, its citizens, and interests, including the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, are known to be in Iraq;

Whereas Iraq continues to aid and harbor other international terrorist organizations, including organizations that threaten the lives and safety of United States citizens;”

Now, while there was no robust evidence for any “operational relationship” between Saddam and alQ, the casus belli the left came to insist on as evidence of alQ connections mounted, there was clearly a pre-war alQ presence in Iraq (see link in my previous post). So, while it may be true that “it’s pretty much accepted that al Qaeda wasn’t in Iraq until we went,” that “pretty much accepted” story is false, and for that “pretty much” level of acceptance we can thank the MSM.

  20. Oh, and while it’s presently a stretch to link Madoff to Barry Lulu Junior Hussein, I personally am bracing for more scandals. After all, the guy tells us nothing about his history, personal or political, outside of what’s in his innumerable autobiographies. Why would we expect the stuff we’re learing now to be anything but bad news?

  21. Brace away. Obama has over a 70% approval rating at present. That must mean that an awful lot of Republicans who voted for McBush have grown to accept Obama.

Just not in this little backwater of a blog.

  22. “”"”And as for Obama getting blamed for everything since he’s the President, I would humbly suggest that you all check the calendar. Obama won’t be President until next Tuesday. So not only are you unfairly pinning an unrelated scandal on the President, but you’re pinning it on the wrong President!”"”"

He’s going to be the president, it doesn’t matter if it’s tomorrow or next week, it’s going to happen. How could Bush have known? “He was too busy sending kids to their deaths and killing people in other countries, and killing our economy, and worrying about ‘club med’ to care about what was going on here” right? Nobama knew Blago and there are recordings of them talking even though he said he never spoke to him(lie), he appointed the tax evader to the treasury, he backed Burris and got the senate to change their mind, he announced his run for pres from a known terrorists home, he couldn’t provide a BC(lie), he sat in a church with a Pastor who “damned” America for 20 years, Obama’s father was not a goat hearder, that’s more than enough for me to blame him for whatever scandal miraculously arises between the winning of the election and the inaugration. That’s my right, I don’t care if you like it or not. I don’t trust him and he hasn’t done anything that warrants my trust. Until he does something good for our country, that’s how it’s going to stay. Had I not already re-enlisted, I wouldn’t be in the Navy right now.
    http://www.audacityofhypocrisy.com/fashion-shows/
Check out the list of lies….don’t use the excuse “he’s a politician” either.

He only won the election because the media and Hollywood backed him and made him look like the answer to all our prayers and all you Nobama supporters got brainwashed. He will prove beyond a shadow of a dought that he was the wrong choice, he didn’t even love his country enough to be in the Military, now he’s our boss! Give anyone enough rope and they’ll hang themselves with it.
Let’s see what his approval rating is in about 2 years.
If this blog is so back water feel free to leave. You came into a blog with at least 3 people who can think for themselves instead of believe what the media and Hollywood is shoving down our throats.

  23. What about linking Ted Stevens to Sister Sarah? I’m sure that there are photos out there. She is Governor of Alaska and he was Senator from Alaska, and they’re both Republicans.

Ergo, she’s responsible for his criminality, according to the Gospel According to GTP.

  24. You sure hate Republicans diogenes! I think you have a serious problem with hate toward the white!

  25. If she were the VP she’d have her name ran through the mud just like Nobama. That was from July 2008. . She had enough problems on her own, just being a young, pretty, hunting, pro-life, female.

“In July of last year, Palin shocked and angered Stevens by publicly criticizing him for his role in the VECO scandal and called for him to speak out about it. ”

She called him on it, what did Obama do? Denied any involvment with Blago, and how long did it take for him to do that? How hard is it REALLY to produce a BC? At least she had the B**LS to speak up. Palin may not be the brightest bulb on the tree at times, but I feel she was more honest than Nobama. Honesty is always a good quality to have.

  26. Almost total agreement h-chick, except that I think Palin really is a pretty bright bulb. Hear her speak on anything she is booked up on, like energy issues, and you get the impression she has a quick mind. She does have big blank spots on foreign policy (most governors do), but I’ll bet she ends up being sharp there, too.

  27. I did say “at times”, but the debates I saw I feel she did pretty good, and made Bidden look unprepared. However I don’t think going on SNL was a wise choice. Don’t get me wrong, I thought it was funny, but I have a hard time understanding why it was necessary.
Sadly I think she lost a lot of the women votes when she talked so strongly against abortion. We have a lot of pro-choice people in America, and then the pro-lifers didn’t like her because she was so open about hunting. She was honest about her life and America didn’t like it. Obama lied and kept secrets and look where he is.

I liked her the whole time, I didn’t agree with everything she said, but she was honest. It was refreshing. I think she’ll learn from this and come back with a vengence in 2012.

  28. Believing lies and not looking for the truth isn’t living in a cocoon? Let me know how THAT works out for you.
