The tax cuts for individuals and couples would be similar to the rebate checks sent out last year by the Bush administration and Congress in a bid at that time to boost the slowing economy. A key difference is that the tax cuts this time around may be awarded through withholding less from worker paychecks. That provision would cost about $140-150 billion over two years.

For businesses, the plan would allow firms incurring losses last year to take a credit against profits dating back five years instead of the two years currently allowed.

Is the gas tax part of the stimulus package? I don’t think so.

From what we’ve heard, the stimulus package still sucks and deserves a hearty No vote, but the fact that the O-team is talking tax cuts is mildly encouraging.

Yes on the tax cut, but how about more taxes on food, fuel and all needed products. Those taxes will eat up that little $500 fast, and remember the low income that don’t pay taxes and the poor will be paying higher taxes! This hurt the lower income and poor!
No the Gas tax isn’t in the package as yet, but may find itself there before its passed. There will be many earmarks and other bills attached.

We will have to give him a chance and wait to see if he can do what the country needs! We are stuck with him for a little while!

  • Where I’m coming from!

As a person that's been around the country and seen what America was and now what she has became makes me sick. I keep up with the news and what's going on and try to state my opinion of the way I feel about the U.S. Government and the way it's dictating our every day personal lives. I'm not a conservative or am I a liberal, just call me a good American citizen that will vote for the person based on their past history. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the post I make.
