I just don’t know about this, should a president tell the senate not to appoint someone? Will not this look like Obama is not happy with Gov. Rod Blagojevich pick because its not one of the people on the Barack list of wanted picks?

Burris Donated Thousands to Blagojevich

According to Illinois State Board of Elections records, Burris donated $1,000 to Friends of Blagojevich on June 27.

On Oct.22 of last year, he donated another $1,500.

The records also show that Burris’ company, Burris & Ledbed Consulting, Inc., a government relations, media and political consultancy firm, made two donations totaling $4,000 to Blagojevich’s campaign on March 13, 2006, just as Blagojevich’s gubernatorial contest was heating up that year. I don’t think Blagojevich is going to take this Obama statement to easy and if Obama or one of his aids did any wrong doing with the Gov. then when he spills what he knows trying to defend himself he will not hold back anything!

Israel Air Force Uses new United States -supplied smart bomb

The Israel Air Force used a new bunker-buster missile that it received recently from the United States in strikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, The Jerusalem Post learned on Sunday.

The GPS-guided GBU-39 is said to be one of the most accurate bombs in the world. The 113-kg. bomb has the same penetration capabilities as a normal 900-kg. bomb, although it has only 22.7 kg. of explosives. At just 1.75 meters long, its small size increases the number of bombs an aircraft can carry and the number of targets it can attack in a sortie.

Tests conducted in the US have proven that the bomb is capable of penetrating at least 90 cm. of steel-reinforced concrete. The GBU-39 can be used in adverse weather conditions and has a standoff range of more than 110 km. due to pop-out wings.

Also Sunday, Military Intelligence’s Psychological Warfare Department broke into radio broadcasts in Gaza and warned Palestinian civilians not to cooperate with Hamas terrorist activity. Read More

Israel is trying not to kill civilians but its hard not to when Hamas hides among them. I don’t think bombing from the air only will do the job, they need to go in on the ground and remove Hamas from Gaza any way they can. There will be no peace until Hamas is defeated. There is no way to fight a political correct war against terrorist such as Hamas and people need to understand that.
