Typical comments from Jewish supporters. Israel INVADED Gaza in 1967 and stayed there for 35 or 37 years. Do you think Gazans, because of that, should love Israel? Gazans have every right to fire any kind of weaponry into Israel in retaliation for the long occupation of their land. When Israelis finally pulled out of Gaza a few years ago, they destroyed the houses and buildings which they had illegally built there. And Gazans should love them? Then the US govt gave Israel over a billion dollars to pay for the illegal settlers to rebuild houses in Israel. So Gaza should love Israel?

Israel had been filling up with Eurojews for decades before the 1947 UN vote that led to the creation of the State of Israel. The great post-WW II surge comprised thousands of displaced persons who wanted to be elsewhere. (Europe: “We’re going to kill all of you.” Jews: “Hey, we can take a hint.”) I suppose you could say it was organized Jewry’s “effort to rid Europe of all its Jews” that helped populate modern Israel — certainly not US policy, in any case.

Well, plenty of tax bucks have gone to Israel, but the country had been a going concern for years before US aid began flowing. The 1967 war, for instance, was fought with French jets and second hand US and British armor, all bought and paid for by Jews.
And, as for Israel being a failed experiment, it looks to me like it’s the only country for miles around that works. It’s the Arabs whose experiments never seem to pan out.

Hamas hides out among ordinary Palestinians. They throw a few hundred rockets at civilians knowing full well Israel will respond with overwhelming force. When Hamas decides enough Palestinians have been killed to refresh their claims of victimhood, they agree to a cease fire until they can reload with rockets. Hamas doesn’t serve Palestinians, only their own political agenda.
