Lawyers for embattled Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich want two key aides to President-elect Barack Obama and U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. subpoenaed, according to Chicago media reports.
Blagojevich’s legal team has asked the Illinois House panel that members of Obama’s incoming administration testify before the House impeachment committee, including Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett, WBBM-TV and the Chicago Sun-Times reported late Wednesday.
U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald warned the committee that interviewing witnesses and discussing documents related to the charges against Blagojevich could undermine his criminal investigation. He declined to give the committee documents and other information about his probe, but left open the possibility of giving the committee copies of Blagojevich conversations captured by federal wiretaps.
“Any inquiry into these topics, as well as the taking of testimony from present and former members of the governor’s staff, could significantly compromise the ongoing criminal investigation,” Fitzgerald wrote.

obama s grandmother passed away on October 21st and not November 3rd as obama stated. can we believe obama ? where is the media on this story ? if this was Palin or Joe the media would be sitting at their steps to report in-depth and more.

They won’t impeach Blago. Blago won’t be convicted of anything. Fitzgerald has been taping these conversations for a long time–before Obama won the election. One part cracked-the whole doth fly! Gensen is using subtle language to say–ok now, we can let this go, or we can start throwing all our favorite Chicago politicians under the bus!

Obama is such a disgusting liar. How many lies can one person tell before people call him out on it, saying, you didn’t misspeak, you knew. Every time he prefaces a comment with “as I have said,” you know what’s comin. A change to what has been said. As for his insistence that he didn’t know this, and was unaware of that–give him that, and then ask yourself if you want such an ignoramus in charge of your life and liberty.
