“You know, the days of just pork coming out of Congress as a strategy, those days are over.”

Ok here we go, Obama says no more pork …as a strategy and you have to read between his words to get the true story. He is saying no more pork in bills unless it for a project that he wants. That sounds like a dictator to this American and if he sticks to his words then he has just lost the support of not only the Republicans but also lost the support of many democrats. The House Speaker ask for many millions in pork and so does most of the other democrats and yes republicans.
The left liberals are starting to get worried about what Obama will now do since he is the President! We’re starting to hear more about thats not the change he promised!
Obama is starting off on the wrong foot if he thinks that he can rule what congress does, he might be able to ask but to tell or order them will get him no where! This shows his inexperience!

  1. goodtimepolitics: I’ve had enough of your stupid left liberal name calling so take your little feet and go back over to where you came.

  2. Why can’t every state take care of their own problems? Why expect the rest of us to build them a dam or rebuild their hi-ways or bridges?I’m tired of these bridges to no where! And this FEMA thing has gone on much to long.Every time a storm blows ….State Governor’s start looking for a hand out from every tax payer in U.S.A. TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN PEOPLE.

  3. Thats fine carolyn but Obama wants to give the money to the projects he wants done and not what the congressmen that the people have elected to look out for their interest in congress. If Obama would have said NO PORK BARREL SPENDING PERIOD then that would be fine, but to tell the congressmen that he will decide and not them is a dictator way of ruling! Do you agree?

  4. If your house burns down…due to your own carelessness…smoking in bed….forgetting about food cooking on stove..etc. Should your neighbors be responsible to re-build your home? To me that is what FEMA pays out!People wanting a ocean view?Pay your own damn recovery cost!

  5. It don’t work that way carolyn, wish it did! But if your house burns down not only your insurance goes up but so does my! States get fed money for roads, schools and yes welfare and other projects mostly in the way of pork barrel and so are you saying that the states should get NO MONEY from the Fed Government?

  6. Pay your home insurance……mine is tied into house payment and taxes.STOP LOOKING FOR A HAND_OUT !!I will give you a hand up, but not a hand out!

  7. I think that States…should pay their own bills…take care of their own people…welfare…food stamps…build their own roads….dam their own rivers and lakes and IF there is ANY MONEY LEFT….THEN AND ONLY THEN….SEND IT TO THE FEDS.

I think that’s about right. Obama’s never been allergic to pork. Where pork is concerned, his Illinois voting record is never “present”; it’s always “me some too.” And the big infrastructre package we’re hearing about now is just pork that’s been stamped “Stimulus.” (It won’t stimulate, btw.) So he’s not talking about economizing. What he’s doing, I suspect, is sending a message to Congressional Dems. He wants big buckets of bucks to spend at his discretion, FDR-style … or Paulson-style, really, no strings attached. All pork is now the property of the Obama. Is he doing this as a matter of pure dictatorial principle, or does he have something in mind? It could be that his plan for the Obama Era is just to feel the love for as long as he can, and he doesn’t want party or platform considerations to interfere. He’ll vote “present” on the big issues and use the power of the pork to manage the uppity Congressional Left. We’ll see.

  9. Here you go. Longish article, via Drudge, on the moonbats’ getting a case of nerves.

Really, I think they’re nervous not because they’re feeling betrayed by Obama, but because it’s dawning on them that they’re totally beholden to him and that their agenda goes nowhere without him. It’s also dawning on them, as it dawned on the rest of us months ago, that they don’t really know this guy.

They could be wrong, of course, about Obama’s plans. Nothing he’s done so far indicates that he’s abandoned his leftie prejudices. He may simply be reverting to the stealth MO that’s worked so well for him in the past. It may still be that we’ll get a big faceful of “economic justice” starting Jan 21.
