Democrats carrying significant campaign debt after winning a string of House and Senate races are grumbling about President-elect Barack Obama’s financial reserves, saying the party’s leader is sitting on a pile of cash while Democratic leaders are broke.

Obama’s organization retains some $30 million after his successful presidential bid, but it’s unclear how the Democratic president-in-waiting might use the money. Members of his party are doing their best to appeal for the funds without appearing greedy, ungrateful or hostile to their new leader.

“If I was a top adviser to the president elect, I wouldn’t necessarily be advocating saving those dollars,” said Raymond Buckle,

Could it be that maybe Obama wants to keep the money that he and his team raised in his coffers for his re-election campaign in 2012? Maybe? Maybe? Where’s the crime in that?

goodtimepolitics: So are you agreeing with muddy flats that Sarah Palin is guilty of what the republican party brought for her?

  2. lukemcgook says:

Or maybe he figures he’ll end up having to refund some of the foreign contributions.

  3. goodtimepolitics says:

Maybe Obama went upscale in Hawaii with part of that $30 million or maybe he is hoping to bank it overseas and keep it for self! I would not put anything pass Barack Hussein!

  4. diogenes says:

GTP, you’re a narrow-minded bigoted little pissant. There’s no accusation that’s too low for you to make against Obama, is there?

I have no idea who mudflats is, and I don’t really care too much about Sister Sarah Palin — although I hope like hell she’s the OP nominee for President in 2012; easy pickins for Obama! So her “guilt” or “innocence” makes no nevermind to me. All I was saying is that The $30 million belongs to Obama’s campaign, not the DNC and not any Democrats downticket.

  5. goodtimepolitics says:

You should know that Obama can not spend that money for anything he wants! You should also know that you stupid democrat supporters has been running Sarah Palin down for the clothes brought for her to wear while campaigning by the Republican Party! But then again I wonder how much of that money of Barack Hussien will have to be sent back over to Europe to non-Americans that donated it!
Name calling again I see diogenes which is a trademark of you far left liberals! :)

“If I was a top adviser to the president elect, I wouldn’t necessarily be advocating saving those dollars,” said Raymond Buckley, chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party. “It was critically important that we not repeat what happened in ’93, ’94,” when President Bill Clinton held the purse strings and Democrats lost 54 U.S. House seats and eight senators during midterm elections.

“We need the resources to build the national grass roots network for the Obama agenda. We need to make sure the president is successful and that the administration fulfills his promises,” Buckley said.
Legally, Obama can donate the extra money to charity, transfer it to another political campaign, or dole it out in $2,000 increments to local candidates, Gross said.

Its not I thats upset, its the democrats in his own party!

  7. diogenes says:

Sure it is, because they want to take advantage of the Obama team’s extraordinary fundraising to retire their own debts, since they couldn’t raise their own funds. And I would respectfully suggest that, with advice like Raymond Buckley (NH Dem) is offering, it’s pretty easy to see why he’s in NH and not on Obama’s team of advisors.

GTP, I never once suggested that the $30 million is Obama’s to do whatever he wants to with it. NOT ONCE! After all, that’s what Sister Sarah did when she went on her shopping sprees, and we saw what that produced. (What was it? $10,000 in clothes and make-up for every electoral vote gained by the GOP? money well spent, obviously!)

I expect that Obama will dole some out to various candidates in $2000 increments, and bank the rest for his 2012 re-election campaign war chest.

goodtimepolitics: I guess you don’t think the same thing that happen to Bill Clinton could happen to your heart and soul Barack! He could pay off Hillary bills from the campaign, she help him get the women back. Instead of using the $30 million he is begging yet for more donations for her bills! From what I understand Obama just can not bank the 30 million as you say its not that simple!
And you’re full of Obama shit to say that Sarah Palin did anything wrong! She also gave the things the Republican party brought her back, she did not keep the clothes! You need to run back over to the mudflats and get your feet back in her mud!

  8. diogenes says:

goodtimepolitics: I’ve had enough of your stupid left liberal name calling so take your little feet and go back over to your friends at MSNBC, you’re done here!

  9. sauerkraut says:

I’m still waiting for the link between money raised by the Obama campaign and the as-yet unreported 200k “girft” from the RNC to Sarah Palin for clothing, including silk boxers for The First Dud.

btw – good thing mudflats came up with your post title; a little plagiarism goes along way, eh?

  10. lukemcgook says:

kraut, there’s a link between Obama’s foreign millions and the wardrobe “girft”? What is it?

GTP links to the mudflats post, btw. Hardly plagiarism. You must strive always not to be absurd.

  11. goodtimepolitics says:

I like mudflats, she helps me explain how stupid some people are sauerkraut as the liberals that has attack Sarah Palin and now look who the democrats want to put in a senate seat in New York. Senator with not one dap of experience in politics! Guess who! :)

  • Where I’m coming from!

As a person that's been around the country and seen what America was and now what she has became makes me sick. I keep up with the news and what's going on and try to state my opinion of the way I feel about the U.S. Government and the way it's dictating our every day personal lives. I'm not a conservative or am I a liberal, just call me a good American citizen that will vote for the person based on their past history. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the post I make.
