Country music singer Hank Williams Jr. said he plans to run for the U.S. Senate as a Republican during the next primary election.
Williams spent time on the campaign trail this year with Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin.

On the other hand, Hank Jr. has excellent credentials for the U.S. Senate. He has local and state political experience… oh, wait, he doesn’t. He’s well educated… oh wait, he isn’t. At least he knows the law… oh, wait, he doesn’t.
Why are Republicans excited by candidates with no more intellectual horsepower than your average country singer, hockey mom or Texas governor?
There been a reason for not electing senators as Presidents, most have been Governors that at least know how to run a State! Yes thats about as near a person can come to running a country and Sarah Palin has that experience…what has Obama done?
Well, we’ll find out! Obama will be President in about 50 days, and Palin is safely hidden away in Alaska where she can’t hurt hardly anybody.
