The first duty of the president of the United States is to protect and defend our nation.  When the phone rings at 3;00 AM in the White House, there is no time for speeches and on the job training.  Senator McCain will bring a time of experience to the campaign. I will bring a lifetime of experience and Senator Obama will bring a speech he gave in year 2002.

    HERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT
    McCAIN DID NOT KNOW

    Saddam posed no imminent and direct threat to the United States.

    The Iraqi economy was in shambles.

    The Iraqi military was a fraction of its former strength.

    In concert with the international community Saddam could be contained as was demonstrated by Desert Storm

    A successful war against Iraq would require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences.

    An invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda.

    gasdocpol are you telling this to Hillary Rodham Clinton who has endorsed Obama your friend? Hillary is supporting Obama with these attacks! Roll on beating the drums that we the people don’t hear!

    If you don’t like Barack, that’s fine. But he was right about Iraq - back then and right now.

    Kurt, Obama hasn’t even took time to visit Iraq or he’s worried about the Hillary sniperfire to see how the war is coming along! Obama is like all the other far left anti-war supporters that will say pull out the troops no matter the situration in Iraq at the time! Obama has not been correct in much of anything! Oh yes give Iraq to the terrorist thats ok with Obama you say?

    Kurt, just another time that Obama has slipped up and used bad judgement and not only in iraq and bad judgement on the Palestinian/ Israel comment that he now flip flopps on! Its not likeing Obama its trusting Obama and I can not do that!

    Two of McNasty’s Iraq visits come to mind.

    One when he taped a stroll through a Bagdhad market to show how safe it had become (with blackhawk helicopters circling above and surrounded by hundreds of crack troops)

    The other when his shill Lieberman had to whisper in his ear the difference between Sunnis, Shiites and Al Qaeda.

    Republican National Committee today announced the start of an “online clock” marking the days since Obama’s sole trip to Iraq (871 and counting).

    McCain has been to Iraq 8 times, how many times has Obama been to Iraq? 1 when? about 3 years ago!
