“I’m not yet convinced that Barack Obama is more substance than fluff,”

May 10, 2008 · 34 Comments

I Goodtimepolitics have that feeling Obama has went counted his chickens before KFC could fry them!  You far left liberals are getting to cocky saying that Hillary Clinton is finished.  Call it hopeful thinking, hopeful wishing or just plain Obama hope, but Hillary has not and will not stop the fight until the last round when the bell rings.  Obama will not win West Virginia in November and the democrats have to win that state.  The WHITE hard working class Americans will make sure Obama does not win in November!

Clyde M. See Jr., a former Democratic speaker of the West Virginia House of Delegates and two-time gubernatorial candidate who heads a small law practice in Moorefield, the county seat. “He’s a fine speaker, mind you, but I’m still not sure he’s got the right stuff to win the general election.”The concerns of party members who live amid this rolling landscape of soybean fields, poultry plants and retirement cabins mirror those of many white Democrats nationwide: Some fear voters will be turned off by Obama’s black heritage. Others, they say, will find reason to doubt his patriotism or will perceive him to be an elitist.

Are you convinced that McCain is a war hero?

23 unheroic and unexceptional combat missions, 20 hours of total combat?

And even if indeed he were a war hero, does that qualify him for the Presidency?

Now THERE is some fluff !

  • goodtimepolitics // May 10, 2008 at 10:05 am

My Friend only the Far Left Liberals like the moveon group would say that Sen. John McCain was not a Hero! I really don’t think you are far left even if you’re some what left of Hillary along with Obama! Yes Mr. McCain is a hero and until a person goes thu what he did in veitnam then they have no room to talk.
So you’re going to vote for John McCain now? :)

  • gasdocpol // May 10, 2008 at 10:31 am

UPON WHAT ARE YOU BASING YOUR CONTENTION THAT McCAIN IS A WAR HERO?

ANY MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE WHO GOT SHOT AT IN NAM.

  • goodtimepolitics // May 10, 2008 at 10:41 am

Now I have you liberals begging for me to say McCain isn’t a hero, well as McCain says, I have news for you he is more a hero than any of the democrats thats running for the White House, unless you want to call the ducking sniper fire by Hillary a heroic act. :) or maybe Obama having to listen to Rev. Wright for 20 years a heroic act! Yes I say Mr. McCain is a hero!

  • huntingdonpost // May 10, 2008 at 11:00 am

It’s silly to contest whether McCain is a hero or not. He endured torture and lived, he dedicated his life to public service. I don’t agree with his politics one iota, but I have no trouble thinking he is heroic. I also admire Hillary a great deal, for enduring public humiliation with grace, for being unafraid to face hatred (which she has), for standing up for mothers and children when men don’t give a crap. There isn’t anything I admire about Obama particularly.

  • goodtimepolitics // May 10, 2008 at 11:02 am

    Well said sir! :)

  • gasdocpol // May 10, 2008 at 11:09 am

I suspect that thousands of Vietnam vets would qualify as hero before McCain.

What does being a war hero have to do with being qualified to be president anyway?

McCain has some qualities that would disqualify him to be president.

His short fuse, superstition, compulsive gambling ,lack of knowledge of Iraqi politics and economics.

These are qualities tha McCain is known to have NOT those of someone with whom he has associated in the past.

  • goodtimepolitics // May 10, 2008 at 11:17 am

Now that you’re agreeing that McCain is a hero, you want to say that its not needed to become president…I don’t think anyone is saying that it is needed but it sure shows the class of a person! :)

  • gasdocpol // May 10, 2008 at 12:15 pm

If everyone who got shot at in Vietnam is a hero then I would say that McCain was a hero.

According to your definition two of my brothers are also qualified to be p;resident

    McCain has class?

He was a rauchy party boy when he was in the navy.

He once called his wife a cunt in public.

He has had foul-mouthed out bursts with other Senators on the Senate floof

  • goodtimepolitics // May 10, 2008 at 12:28 pm

If thats all you can come up with to put John McCain down, then its very lame! We sure can come up with Obama sleeping with terrorist, sleeping with anti-Americans, sleeping with a wife thats not proud of her country that Obama wants to lead, a user of dope and connections to the Nation of Islam. To many to name unless I make up a complete new blog to post them on! :)

  • huntingdonpost // May 11, 2008 at 8:07 am

McCain was a party boy? Are you kidding me? Obama admits to cocaine use! And this isn’t about all the other guys in Vietnam. Frankly I think anybody who goes into military service and sees action and behaves honorably is admirable, if not heroic. I have never faced bullets. I consider my late father heroic; he was part of the clean up crew at Nagasaki and I think facing that carnage takes a helluva lot of strength. But there’s no heroism test here. It is one aspect of McCain’s career. As I said, I don’t support him, but I think he is a career public servant who has tried to do well by his country. I don’t see one thing that Obama has done for his country. It has all been for Obama.

check the recored. michelle said that she WAS proud of the USA.

Sleeping with or talking too? There is a difference you know.

Even if McCain suffered the torture of the dammned that does not qulify him to be president

  • goodtimepolitics // May 11, 2008 at 1:19 pm

Here is another liberal that goes right along with your friend Obama there gasdocpol, Al Sharpton is a tax dodger and I guess you and Obama have enbraced him also. There is something like 1.2 million dollars in question and NO TAXES..is that being anti-American to you?

    goodtimepolitics,

gasdocpol goes around smearing Mr. McCain and doesn’t seem one bit interested in truth, just his biased and prejudiced opinion.

  • goodtimepolitics // May 12, 2008 at 4:56 am

I agree Denny, but its hard to smear someone like Sen. John McCain when he has served our great Nation with all he has and then some! He is a hero and no one can take that away from him! I bet Obama wishes he could be as clean as McCain is! :)

    goodtimepolitics

google obama oct 2002 iraq and you will see in his speech,Obama repeated several times that he was not against ALL wars just DUMB wars.

Most people (except those in denial) will admit with hindsight that this was a dumb war. Obama said it with foresight.

Getting into a dumb war does not sound very conservative (small c) to me.

As I have been saying Neoconsevatives are not conservative.

    Denny

Do 23 unexceptional combat missions and 20 hours of combat qualify someone as war hero.

McCain has blocked efforts to release N. Vietnamese records which could reveal how much more than name, rank and serial number he gave his captors.

Even if McCain were Rambo, Audie Murphy and Pappy Boyington all rolled into one, that would not mean he would be a competent president.

Clean? McCain was a raunchy party boy at USNA and flight school. He dumped his first wife for a newer model who he later called a cunt in public. He has a hot temper,is superstitious and a compulsive gamber.

Truth ? Consider the lies that got us into Iraq!

  • goodtimepolitics // May 12, 2008 at 2:01 pm

People that are against the War is the same people that was against the War in Veitnam and against any war what so ever and you should know that. You liberals Obama suporters need to hunt harder for things against Mr. John McCain as its alot harder to find them as its easy to find things on Obama such as his wife is not proud of her country. Obama saying that small town Americans are clinging to their guns because they are bitter and just because Obama is clinging to Rev. Wright because he’s bitter he thinks small town Americans are doing the same!

Truth? Consider the lying that Obama has done and he has not got into the White House yet! How much lying will he do if he does become president?

  • gasdocpol // May 13, 2008 at 7:21 am

I supported the Vietnam war. The domino theory made a lot of sense to me. I now admit that at some point it became debateable.

I supported Desert Storm. (So did Al Gore who clearly opposed the Iraq invasion)Kerry got it wrong both times. He opposed Desert Storm and supported the Iraq invasion.

Bush/Cheney lying us into the Iraq invasion in 2003 is no different from Hitler lying the Germans into the Poland invasion in 1939. THERE HAVE NOT BEEN MORE DAMAGING LIES IN THE HISTORY OF THE USA AS THOSE OF BUSH/CHENEY.

BTW Michelle said that she WAS proud of her country. Check her words.

  • goodtimepolitics // May 13, 2008 at 1:09 pm

Thats where the democrats have it wrong, Bush and Cheney told you what they were told by our CIA and by OTHER COUNTRIES and the democrats are now calling all those countries and the CIA liers along with Bush and Cheney.
Relating Bush and Cheney to Hitler is being totally anti-American as far as I’m concerned and the democrats are wrong in doing so.
MICHELLE said she had not been proud of her country her whole life and not until her baby Barack had a chance to become president! Thats saying to me a proud American that she is not proud of her country and I’m wondering if Barack is cause he is friends with William Ayers a known terrorist that we have pictures of him stumping an American Flag, and Obama would not wear a flag pin, and Michelle saying she was not proud of her country all adds up to being ANTI-AMERICAN !

  • gasdocpol // May 13, 2008 at 1:25 pm

Invading Iraq was at the top of the Bush agenda from day one. Bush spoke of it at the very first cabinet meeting. BUSH WAS PUT IN THE WHITE HOUSE BY THE NEOCONS TO CARRY OUT THE PNAC AGENDA.

HITLER TOLD THE GERMANS THAT POLAND WAS A DANGER TO GERMANS JUST AS BUSH DID TO AMERICANS. NO DIFFERENCE.

  • goodtimepolitics // May 13, 2008 at 1:30 pm

Now come on my friend who did you hear that from? Yes the far left democrat nuts is where you heard it! But if you think back the first Iraq war was never finished now was it and Iraq was trying to shoot down British and American planes.

  • gasdocpol // May 13, 2008 at 3:04 pm

    Goodtime

I heard that from men who had worked in multiple GOP White Houses: Paul O’Neill and Richard A. Clark. google them or better yet read their books.

WE WERE LIED INTO THE IRAQ INVASION TO CARRY OUT THE PNAC AGENDA. (GOOGLE THAT TOO)

Not only did GW Bush lie to us but he also screwed up the PNAC mission.

TALK ABOUT THE GANG WHO COULD NOT SHOOT STRAIGHT (AKA THE WORLD’S DUMBEST CRIMINALS)

  • goodtimepolitics // May 13, 2008 at 7:18 pm

Only the ant-war far left nuts are saying that Bush lied…if he had then he could be impeached. Has he been impeached for lying? Yes the Far left nuts tried to get congress to attempt to impeach him well that didn’t happen cause Bush didn’t lie to anyone he was repeating what he was told by the CIA and leaders of other counties!

  • gasdocpol // May 13, 2008 at 8:00 pm

PAUL O’NEILL WAS IN GOP WHITE HOUSES GOING BACK TO FORD.

CLARK WAS IN GOP WHITE HOUSES GOING BACK TO NIXON

READ WHAT THEY SAID WENT ON IN THE BUSH WHITE HOUSE.

Colin Powell’s chief of staff, Wilkerson said the White House was run by a Neocon cabal headed by Cheney and Rumsfeld.

At best, Bush has a pretext for having made the wrong decision.

Obama got it right without “benefit ” of the Bush/Cheney cherrypicked info.

Most of the world was against the Iraq invasion.

  • goodtimepolitics // May 13, 2008 at 8:23 pm

Colin Powell or any of the rest can say what-ever they want as its freedom of speech. But if President Bush had lied the democrats would have impeached him in a heartbeat. There is no way the democrats would have let him get by with lying. I do not see where President Bush has been impeached do you?

  • huntingdonpost // May 13, 2008 at 9:14 pm

Goodtimepolitics, I am a real fan, but I swear to you, Bush lied. The Democrats could not impeach him because it takes a certain number in the House to impeach and a certain number in the Senate to convict. Clinton’s impeachment was a farce, but it happened because of an imbalance of power. Whatever you may think of Bush’s decisions (and we probably disagree on those), he was absolutely not telling the truth about Iraq and Al Qaeda being in cahoots. Saddam Hussein hated people like Osama bin Laden.

  • goodtimepolitics // May 13, 2008 at 9:55 pm

All I know is that they the democrats did not even attempt to impeached President Bush and I just can not see them not trying! If he had lied even some republicans would have wanted him impeached, plus there were leaders of other countries saying the same things. And we still can not prove that Iraq didn’t move the WMD out of country, no proof what so ever. A barrel of gas could be hid anywhere and may never be found. I don’t think Bush lied knowing it.

  • goodtimepolitics // May 13, 2008 at 9:56 pm

And Obama has lied about many things and he hasn’t even got to the White House and so do we wait for him to become president and then spend a bunch of money impeaching him?

  • goodtimepolitics // May 13, 2008 at 11:27 pm

I’m sorry but I will have to take the man’s word over all the others unless they can show proof and none of them can do that. :)
