‘Snowmageddon’ brings chaos to Washington DC worst blizzard in 90 years

February 7, 2010 · 4 Comments

Nearly 2ft of snow fell on Washington today with President Barack Obama dubbing the whiteout ‘Snowmageddon’.
And as the blizzard hit the US capital forecasters warned tonight that some of it could be heading to the UK this week.
At least two people were killed and more than 200,000 homes were without power due to ‘thigh-high’ drifts thought to be the heaviest snowfall in the city for 90 years. SOURCE

This is globle warming huh? Where is Al Gore when Washington DC needs him. Is G.W. Bush the blame for Snowmageddon? If the democrats and Obama has their way Bush will be blamed!

A growing number of Britons are sceptical about global warmingThe rapid change in public opinion has been fuelled by the failure of the Copenhagen Climate Summit in December, the bitterly cold winter and the row over leaked emails from the University of East Anglia, which showed scientists attempting to hide data from sceptics.
At the same time, the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has come under fire after it admitted making mistakes in several of its published reports.
Two weeks ago, the IPCC was forced to apologise for another report that claimed Himalayan glaciers could disappear as soon as 2035.
It later emerged that most of the figures came from two 1999 magazine interviews, which had been recycled by the environmental campaign group WWF. The charity was found to have made basic errors in its arithmetic.
Just last week, it emerged that another claim – that 40 per cent of the Amazon was extremely vulnerable to a tiny decline in rain – was lifted from a second unsubstantiated report published by the WWF.

More about the emails…..

Scientists discussing how to manipulate historical temperature data
The stolen emails, which emerged on the eve of the UN climate change summit in Copenhagen, appear to show scientists discussing how to manipulate historical temperature data.

In one, head of the Climate Research Centre, Professor Phil Jones, talked of using a ‘trick’ to hide inconvenient data.
They were seized upon by climate sceptics as proof that experts are manipulating data to prove the theory that humans are to blame for rising temperatures. SOURCE

Phoenix Arizona approved a sales tax on grocery items

February 7, 2010 · 4 Comments

The food tax will take effect April 1.

The tax on milk, meat, vegetables and other food purchased by shoppers will generate an estimated $12.5 million for the fiscal year that ends June 30. It will raise another $50 million for fiscal 2011. Food purchased with food stamps will not be taxed.

The extra tax revenue means Phoenix will have more money in its coffers to help close a $241 million general-fund budget deficit through June 2011. Last week, budget officials proposed cutting $140 million in services. Other special funds for things like transit also could get money.

City Manager David Cavazos proposed eliminating 1,379 citywide positions, including nearly 500 police officers and firefighters. Among the dozens of targeted cuts, libraries and senior centers would be closed, an after-school program would be dismantled, and bus and light-rail service would be significantly reduced.  SOURCE

Let me guess, these are jobs that Obama has claim to have saved! Wait a second, if Obama saved these jobs then why is it that the people having a tax charged on their food to re-save the jobs? I will ask again are you better off under the leadership of Barack Obama? The answer is no!

Thanks To George W. Bush, Senior Citizens receive 25 percent OFF Healthcare & Prescription!

February 3, 2010 · 2 Comments

Qualifying senior citizens can receive up to 25 percent off their total cost of healthcare and prescription drugs thanks to the Relay for Health bill. It was made law in 2003 by former President George W. Bush.

The Department of Aging says that the county is the first in Southeastern North Carolina to take advantage of the Relay for Health bill.  SOURCE

I have a question, why did it take so long? The bill was signed into law in 2003 by President Bush and its now 2010! I guess Obama will try and take credit for this help for the senior citizens!

Most Voters Don’t Believe President’s Assertions (January 30, 2010)

February 1, 2010 · 1 Comment

Keith Olbermann

Has your taxes been cut? Are you better off today than 6 years ago? I would have to agree that jobs have been cut in the millions but taxes…where? Has prices gone up, I would have to say yes. So knowing all this how could anyone in their right mind support Obama and his socialist agenda?

The president in the speech declared that his administration has cut taxes for 95% of Americans. He even chided Republicans for not applauding on that point. However, just 21% of voters nationwide believe that taxes have been cut for 95% of Americans. Most (53%) say it has not happened, and 26% are not sure. Other polling shows that nearly half the nation’s voters expect their own taxes to go up during the Obama years. SOURCE

Obama’s words like an oak wood barrel with nothing inside it!

January 29, 2010 · 4 Comments

Obama’s State of the Union Address didn’t help his ratings the day afterwards. His speech shows his disconnect with the people and his same old promises from his past that he never kept plus trying to push his government take over of our health care down our throats by any and all means such as buying votes isn’t getting it anymore. Plus the blame game has gone on to long, taking office with a 7% unemployment and his first year unemployment rises to 11% to 12% shows that he has done nothing to make jobs. His words is nothing more than a shell, like an oak wood barrel with nothing inside it!

25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove SOURCE

Independent investigator is launching two probes into the government’s rescue of American International Group Inc.

January 26, 2010 · 6 Comments

An independent investigator is launching two probes into the government’s rescue of American International Group Inc. and the insurer’s subsequent payments of billions to big banks.

Neil Barofsky, the special inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, says the Fed withheld documents he requested when auditing AIG’s “backdoor bailouts” of banks it did business with, including Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Barofsky’s allegations came in prepared testimony provided to members of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and obtained by The Associated Press.

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York produced 250,000 pages of documents after committee Chairman Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y., issued a subpoena earlier this month.

The committee is investigating why the New York Fed, then led by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, agreed to pay banks billions to cancel their contracts with AIG, which is based in New York.

Geithner approved the deals, which may have cost taxpayers billions more than necessary because he did not demand concessions from banks AIG did business with, according to Barofsky’s earlier audit.

“If anyone at the Fed thought that this investigation will stop after Wednesday’s hearing they are completely mistaken,” said California Republican Darrell Issa, the committee’s top Republican. “There has been a widespread effort by officials at the New York Fed to thwart transparency, and we will continue to pursue this investigation for as long as it takes to get the truth.” Read more at SOURCE

The investigations into Obama’s Radical Government has started and after the elections in November we shall see many more investigations into his radical people that surround him. The dirt will come out in the wash my mother alway said. Its been awhile since I ask, Are you better off today under the leadership of Obama than you were 6 years ago? Maybe the millions unemployed could answer that the best!

Obama Falls into a BIG SINK HOLE (still campaigning)

January 24, 2010 · 5 Comments

Thats a big sink hole that Obama has fell into, will he stay there for the rest of his first term? This has to be almost a record if not one! Has there been any president with as low a job approval rating in their first year?

24% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove. SOURCE

If I was a democrat politician I would not want a president with a job approval of 24% to campaign for me in my home state. Wait a minute, Obama’s rating of 24% could be higher than what Reid’s job approval is. (Smile) Where was Reid when Obama campaign for those other democrats where all three lost to Republicans, better wise up Larry Reid.

President Barack Obama will appear with politically embattled Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in Las Vegas next month. SOURCE

To top off all this good news, Democrats Propose $1.9 Trillion Increase In Debt Limit. Is this what we the American people want? I don’t think so. Obama and the democrats still have their ears plugged and not listening to we the voters.

Senate Dems proposed allowing the federal government to borrow an additional $1.9 trillion to pay its bills, a record increase that would permit the national debt to reach $14.3 trillion. SOURCE

Missouri’s race for the U.S. Senate

January 22, 2010 · 3 Comments

Obama and the democrats figured that the American people would just lay down and allow them to walk over us. Thats not going to happen Obama! After a year of Obama being in the White House many of us would not trust him one minute. He’s already starting to flip-flop into saying that jobs is his most important job, what about the last year Obama when health care and taking over banks was most important to you democrats? Don’t try to fool the people again with your grin and forked tongue!

Republican Roy Blunt now holds a six-point lead over Democrat Robin Carnahan in Missouri’s race for the U.S. Senate. SOURCE

Barack Hussein Obama Wants To Retreat From His Attack On Our Health Care

January 21, 2010 · 5 Comments

Where is that sneaky grin now Obama?

President Barack Obama suggested he’s open to Congress passing a scaled-back health-care bill, potentially sacrificing much of his signature policy initiative as chaos engulfed Capitol Hill Wednesday.Winning Republican support for even a modified version of the bill also seemed unlikely. “You can’t drive a policy that doesn’t have the support of the American people,” said Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe, the Republican who had shown the most openness to passing the bill during last year’s health negotiations. SOURCE

Obama has now started his retreat from the health care bill that the American people has made plain that they do not want, but he will try to still pass a smaller health care bill to save his political career. In other words he now has the far left liberals mad as hell with him, the far right mad as hell with him and the center mad at him not only over the government take over of our health care but we’re mad as hell over Obama trying to pass the cap-and-trade bill against our will and pushing his socialist agenda and his big spending spree. We’re also see all those far left radicals that surround him! So a word for you Obama, it’s not just the health care bill that we don’t like about you! Its looking more like President Bush set to high a standard for you to go by Obama! The blame game is over and now Obama job approval is upon himself which isn’t very good for his first year in the White House.
